Awesome Bookcases

Builder Laura Kampf got her hands on an old neon letter and decided to make it the centerpiece of a custom-built bookcase. She used a technique called kerf bending to give the unit curved corners and routed several holes into its sides for a light and airy look. We’re impressed that this is her first foray into kerf bending.

Anesis’ Rubika Bookcase can showcase even the plainest objects. Its overall shape, the shape of its compartments, and its color scheme make it look like it’s popping out of your wall like a giant Rubik’s Cube. Available in different colorways.

Design firm Raw Edges came up with this loom-based design to show off Granta’s Best of Young British Novelists series. By displaying the books floating at different heights it encourages viewers to explore each work individually.

Made of reclaimed plywood from construction sites, the UnWaste bookcase is a full-wall rotating library designed to be a storage solution and room divider for open spaces like warehouses and lofts.
