Awesome Blasters

Hamster Single-Shot Dart Blaster

Hamster Single-Shot Dart Blaster

The Hamster toy blaster from Shanye X Phantom Tech isn’t much thicker than a phone, so it fits easily in your pocket. It can fire a single foam dart or .50 caliber rubber balls. It accepts short or long darts and primes easily with the pull down on its powerful spring-loaded mechanism. Luke from Out of Darts shows how it works and has them for sale in his shop.

This crazy NERF Elite 2.0 blaster has 32 single-dart barrels – 16 that face forward and 16 that face backward. It fires 1 or 2 darts at a time depending on how far you pull its trigger. When you’ve shot half your ammo, pull the handle to flip the barrels to load up the rest. Now someone needs to mod this to launch 16 darts at once.

Building a Working Star Wars Plasma Blaster

Building a Working Star Wars Plasma Blaster

The blasters in Star Wars supposedly fire bolts of plasma energy held together with a magnetic field. This sounds like pure science fiction, but Jake Makes wanted to see if he could create the same effect with a real-world weapon. While he came up with an approach that looks pretty accurate, it’s not technically the same idea at all.

NERF M134 Minigun

NERF M134 Minigun

NERF makes some cool blasters, but the custom community is always outdoing Hasbro’s factory toys. WalcomS7 shows off the world’s fastest NERF blaster, Gatling Tommy’s M134 minigun. The full-auto blaster has a 500-round capacity and fires 58 darts per second. It’s fed by a belt mechanism and an ammo backpack attached via a massive 3D-printed chain.
