Awesome Bicycles

The latest iteration of Forever Bicycles by artist and activist Ai Weiwei was made using 3000 bikes stacked side by side. The trippy installation was part of Toronto’s La Nuit Blanche art festival and will stay up until Oct. 27th.

Like the Copenhagen Wheel, the FlyKly Smart Wheel turns any bicycle into a hybrid. Its motor switches on when you pedal, and will easily let you reach up to 20mph. It also locks your bike and can track it if it gets stolen.

Security locks for the wheels, seats and other parts of bicycles. Each lock is composed of a nut and a screw cap with a three character combination lock. You can personalize the characters on the locks too.

Anyone who has ever dealt with a rigid, bulky U-Lock might agree that the Foldylock is exactly the type of innovation they have been looking for in bike security. The 35.5″ sturdy lock folds down for easy stowing on a mount or in a bag.

The Greyp G12 is a bicycle with a 12kW electric motor. It can go up to 40mph and last up to 75mi on a single charge. Charging takes just 80min. Uses a fingerprint scanner to start up and artificially limit its top speed. Est. price: $8k.

Who says you need an adult-sized bike to pull off BMX-style stunts? Ryan Taylor certainly doesn’t, as he takes to the ramps with his pint-sized Rocker BMX two-wheeler. Though it’s more like riding a skateboard than a bike.

MOBIC bicycles are made of lightweight aluminum and can be folded or unfolded in less than 10 seconds without the need for tools. They have 20″ wheels but their cushioned saddle is at the same height as a bike with 26″ wheels.
