Ron “Boneshaker” Schroer’s wooden kinetic sculpture is a mix between a high wheel bicycle and Theo Jansen’s strandbeests. It has mechanical legs with small wheels instead of a single rear wheel.

The Impossible is a fully-electric bicycle (a scooter?) that weighs only 11lb. and folds up to a very compact form that can fit in most 17″ backpacks. It has a 187lb. capacity, a top speed of 12mph and lasts up to 15mi. per charge.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a rocket-powered bicycle, but it is the first time we’ve seen one go faster than a supercar, hitting 207mph in just 5 secs. We’re just amazed that daredevil rider Francois Gissy managed to hold on to it.

The Evo bicycle lost to the Denny in the 2014 Bike Design Project, but it’s a great concept as well. It has mounts at the front and rear for a variety of cargo accessories. It also has a built-in lock, headlight and brake light.

Like the Motoped, SEV’s eTricks Evolution is a motorized mountain bike, except it uses a 2.5kW electric motor. It can go up to 37mph and last for up to 50mi per charge. Available in urban and various off-road variants.

While its $11,000+ price tag may make your eyeballs pop out of your head, there’s no question that Keim’s handmade contemporary wooden bicycle looks spectacular. Its frame is made from a composite of 24 layers of white ash wood.

A bicycle tail light with an integrated 720p 130º camera and a microphone. The camera continuously records 15min. clips, which are stored in a microSD card (8GB card included). It also has a water-repellent coating.

A gorgeous electric bike from Jonathan Ward’s ICON. Made from aluminum, the retro-influenced e-bike can hit 20mph in street mode and 36mph in race mode. Hydraulic front and rear brakes help bring it to a stop, and range is 30 miles.

The Yerka Project aims to create a bicycle where the frame and seatpost work together to form a giant lock, making it virtually impossible to walk off with it, and eliminating the need to carry a U-Lock, chain or cable.

Bicyclick is a pair of add-ons that attach to bicycle handlebars, letting two or more bikes lean on each other and stay upright. It comes with a rubber strap so you can lock your brake – and thus your bike – in place.
