Triple D Game Farm is a ranch in Kalispell, MT that raises animal models for photography, cinematography and educational purposes. Here’s one of their models, a grizzly bear, goofing off with a sprinkler.

John Downer Productions set their spherical Snowball Cam loose in the midst of a group of polar bears. The bears end up kicking around the ball for a sort of impromptu game of soccer. Clearly these bears haven’t heard that club soda can get blood out of white fur.

In a surprisingly unexpected move, this captive bear sees a crow that is drowning in its lagoon. Instead of letting the bird die or eating it for lunch, the bear pulls the helpless bird to safety, then goes about its business eating an apple.

We were just as amazed to see these Mexican black bears climbing the face or a sheer cliff as Stephanie Latimer was when she captured this amazing footage at Big Bend National Park in Texas. And they do it without ropes.

It might look like a primitive CGI animation, but this short film by DBLG was made by creating numerous 3D prints of a bear climbing a flight of stairs, then shooting them frame by frame. We’d love to see more of this technique.
