Upright Bear
This Asiatic black bear was spotted at a rescue center in China doing something highly unusual. Because of his thin frame, when walking on his hind legs he looks suspiciously like a guy taking a stroll in a bear costume.

In one of the most unlikely pairings ever, a grizzly bear and an orange tabby cat lived together in perfect harmony at Oregon’s Wildlife Images Animal Sanctuary. They both shared a common bond of having been orphaned.
Even if you’re Usain Bolt, there’s no way you can run faster than a grizzly. In this clip a passenger driving through Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park captured a bear running as fast as their car. If you should encounter one, try these pointers.
“The spirit of the bears has always been tied to the human cubs. It is our duty to protect them.” Tyler Novo’s work seems more of a teaser than a complete film, but the concept and score make up for it. In other words Tyler, we want more.
It’s not as hard as putting human babies to sleep, but this zookeeper had his hands full trying to get a couple of panda cubs to take their medicine. Watch as they simultaneously vie for the poor man’s attention and avoid the icky stuff.
A baby black bear found its way onto a green at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort’s Mountainside Golf Club in British Columbia, and proceeded to clown around with the flag. We wonder if a bear moving your ball is a penalty stroke.
In a surprisingly unexpected move, this captive bear sees a crow that is drowning in its lagoon. Instead of letting the bird die or eating it for lunch, the bear pulls the helpless bird to safety, then goes about its business eating an apple.
We were just as amazed to see these Mexican black bears climbing the face or a sheer cliff as Stephanie Latimer was when she captured this amazing footage at Big Bend National Park in Texas. And they do it without ropes.
It might look like a primitive CGI animation, but this short film by DBLG was made by creating numerous 3D prints of a bear climbing a flight of stairs, then shooting them frame by frame. We’d love to see more of this technique.
This first-person (first-animal?) video game puts you in control of a not yet another gun-toting protagonist, but in the body of a bear. You’ll have to forage for berries, go on the prowl for meals, and explore a huge open world along the way.
Amazing footage of Alaskan grizzly bears frolicking and enjoying the day. Though one of the bears gets a little too personal with the GoPro. Contrary to the title, we don’t see him chomp down, but we do get a good look at his teeth.
For some reason, we’re reminded of Napoleon Dynamite as this bear residing at Animal Ark in Reno, NV decides to play a solo game of tether ball. Works even better when you add the appropriate soundtrack.
No actual bears were harmed in the making of this throw by artist Emily White. Made from faux fur, a satin tongue, a faux leather nose, claws and teeth, the only thing this will do is smother you with its warmth.
Cuddle your inner wild child with the Griz Coat, a faux fur coat with a silly fake bear head-hood large enough to hide your entire face. Thankfully it’s detachable, though the fake claws are not.
BBC cameraman Gordon Buchanan hangs out inside of a clear safety box to capture face-to-face footage of a deadly polar bear. You’ll have to move to the UK and watch The Polar Bear Family & Me for more.
The sideways camera angle at the beginning of this clip might make you think this bear has anti-gravity powers, but he’s just got the power to please the crowd as he does tricks for a sip of soda.
A large bear enters a residential backyard. You’d think the lady of the house would be scared of such a beast, but she puts the killer creature in its place without flinching. Any interest in training our dog?
The title says it all for this awesome print from The Oatmeal. The perfect print for any kitchen, as Grizz spices up his kill with an ample dose of hot sauce. Signed by the artist and measures ~19″x27″.
Grizzly Bear. Check. Automatic weapon. Check. Ammo belts. Check. Laser beams for eyes. Check. The complete package summed up on a single t-shirt. Thanks Blake… for making our day.
The Woodland Zoo’s Lil’ Bear – the grizzly bear – and Tala – the wolf – are lifelong friends. Note the cautious dog. Perhaps it knows that they’ll be vastly different when they grow up.
Terry Fan’s idea of a real life Care Bear. We’d like to think that this bad dude was originally brown before he tore the fur out of Share Bear and Cheer Bear. Also available as prints and gadget skins.
A teaser for the highly intriguing Wastelander Panda. According to creator Epic Films, it will be a TV series about the last panda on a post-apocalyptic Earth. We have so many questions.
Sir? Mr. Polar Bear, sir? You seem to have something stuck around your head. What’s that you say? You can’t hear us? Oh, well maybe if you remove it. Ah, that’s better. No, you don’t think so?
