LEGO enthusiast Sariel modified the LEGO BB-8 kit to make it move via remote control. It doesn’t roll exactly like the droid does, but it’s still a cool mod. Sariel used SBrick and Power Functions parts to make the mod. You can download the instructions on his website.

While the sound effects are all wrong, we got a good chuckle from Reid Southen’s doctoring of this scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark, replacing the giant boulder with another round, rolly object. Also, he made this a year ago, so he had no idea what BB-8 sounded like yet.
