This incredibly complex timepiece comes from design students at the Tohoku University of Art & Design in Japan. The intricate wooden machine uses more than 400 precision components to move an stylus that writes, then erases the current time like an Etch-a-Sketch.

A team of guys in Russia show off the build process behind their own homebrew tank. We’re assuming the plywood bits at the start were an earlier prototype, as the finished MS-1 tank appears to be made from sturdier materials like metal and rubber.

Animator Eran Amir created a series of 3D printed baby figurines then traveled through a variety of environments with the baby models on a rig, painstakingly snapping one photo at a time to create a seemingly around-the-world baby marathon. Making of video here.

Munchies dropped down Ginza, Japan’s Bar High Five to get a look at owner Hidetsugu Ueno’s perfectly balanced and artful cocktails, and his ability to individually carve chunks of ice into glimmering diamond shapes. Ironically, Hidetsugu doesn’t even drink.

Developed by Disney Research and ETH Zurich, this ingenius robot can change from riding on the ground to driving sideways up walls like a boss. It uses rotating propellers to transition from ground to wall modes, then provide the thrust to hold it to the wall.
