Zachariah Scott mashed up Kanye West’s video for Power with Left 4 Dead. JP Neufeld provided the custom remix of the L4D theme song Midnight Ride. This is Scott’s entry to Valve’s Saxxy Awards.

This creepy but nonetheless awesome animation by artist Erica Luke was created by painting each frame on the face of its subject, transforming a lively girl into a fleshless skeleton in 30 seconds.

A fun and Tim Burton-esque Halloween animation done by Auge de Vries by painstakingly carving 400 individual scenes into candle-lit pumpkins and stitching them together frame-by-frame.

The Mets’ 2012 season is but a distant memory, but before they ran out of steam, director Marc Rienzo and his team at Digital Domain Media Group created this futuristic CGI short to inspire fans. More here.

This New York Times op-doc made by Drew Christie is a meta-commentary on the birth of ideas that proves that everything is a hyperlink. It needs subtitles badly though. Oh wait.

Seamus Spilsbury and the gang at Oh Yeah Wow created this painstakingly-animated stop-motion clip for Wax Tailor and Aloe Blacc, as a crocheted quadropus(?) makes its way through the city.

A schoolgirl goes through an extreme case of deja vu in the crazy music video for Transfer, a song by Japanese pop group Livetune. This is probably what Run Lola Run would be like if it were an anime.

An award-winning stop-motion short by Christopher Kezelos, The Maker is about a creature racing against time to accomplish the most important task of his life. The score is Winter by Paul Halley.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest turns the classic polar bear Coke commercials on their head, reminding us of the grave consequences of consuming excessive amounts of sugary soda.

Partir (“leaving”) is a tale of two inseparable characters told through hand-drawn stop-motion animation. The quote at the end reads,“Just now, I heard the heartbeat of a tiny raindrop.”

Disney/Pixar’s new Toy Story short features everyone’s favorite Wally Shawn-voiced T.Rex at the center of the story – and this usually square dinosaur uses his tiny arms to get the party jumpin’.
