Aussie artist and animator Felix Colgrave takes us on another wild and crazy ride. Get ready for a hallucinogenic trip through universe filled with strange looking and noisy creatures that might be found in the wilds of Tasmania. Headphones highly recommended for this one.

The latest movie from Disney and Pixar follows the story of a boy who starts making new friends in a seaside town in Italy. But it turns out that he’s really a sea monster who’s take on a human form. The fish-out-of-water-who-wants-to-live-with-humans story sounds a bit like another Disney flick, The Little Mermaid.

(PG-13: Language) Korvo, Yumyulack, Terry, Jesse, and the Pupa are back and causing more mayhem than ever in season two of Solar Opposites. If you didn’t get to watch season one of Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan’s hilariously warped animated series, now’s a great time to do it with the second season hitting Hulu on 3.26.2021.

Social distancing has changed things since Nata Metlukh created her lighthearted animated short film. But we can still relate to its many examples of socially awkward situations that can pop up when the world is functioning normally. We quite enjoyed the quirky illustration style.

Animator Victor Haegelin, cinematographer Jérémy Lesquenner, and sound designer Martin Flechtner created this amazing stop-motion short that pays tribute to Leonardo DiCaprio. The clip cleverly incorporates scenes from Catch Me If You Can, Titanic, The Revenant, The Wolf of Wall Street, Inception, and The Great Gatsby.

(Gore) While camping in the woods, a couple inadvertently leaves their mark in a horrific way. Their crime won’t go unpunished, though, as they also left behind photographic evidence. Nature strikes back with a vengeance in this darkly-comic short film from animation students at Ecole des Nouvelles Images.

Animator Trent Shy created this duo of excellent stop-motion claymations which capture the personas of colorful pop culture characters. The first clip catalogs blue characters from Stitch to Cookie Monster, while the second animation showcases green guys like Slimer, Gumby, and Pickle Rick.

Paul Katz not only knows how to build things from wood, but he likes to document his progress on video. But he doesn’t just shoot ordinary footage. Instead, he records his work a tiny bit at a time, capturing a frame each time he makes a small change, resulting in cool stop-motion animations of his process.

After leaving his friends for work, a satellite tech becomes bored and shifts his focus to his phone screen. Ironically, his lack of attention results in a catastrophic loss of communication. Benjamin Morard and Frederic Siegel’s short film is less of a cautionary tale about technology, and more a story about friendship.

After being stuck inside for far too long, Fraser Munden and Catherine Dubeau of Thoroughbread Pictures decided to animate some of the visions that isolation and dozing off with the television on has manifested. Despite the product placement, they’re quick to point out that Old Grand-Dad whiskey is not a sponsor.

Based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book, this animated series follows the relationship between a young man (Steven Yeun) and his father (J.K. Simmons), the world’s most powerful superhero. As he inherits his father’s powers and learns of his origins, he struggles to accept his new role. Coming to Prime Video 3.26.2021.

“Your biggest enemies during this will be blinking and closing the mouth for syllables.” Joel Haver gets all meta with a video about how he makes his stupid funny videos about video games. He animated himself animating himself, and actually ended up with a halfway decent tutorial on his AI-assisted rotoscoping process.

Animator omozoc takes a break from stop-motion cooking to poke fun at Cyberpunk 2077 with a fun little sequence that starts out with player customization, and then takes us on a ride into a world dominated by a mega-corporation who controls all of the food supplies.

What if God was an amateur computer programmer, and Earth was just one of the experiments he created using a graphical world-building application? That’s the setup for Magnus Møller, Mette Tange, and Peter Smith’s silly animated short film for Tumblehead. It also explains where that whole flat Earth thing came from.

Adam of Empire of Joy thought it might be interesting to animate a scenes from other movies in a handpainted style similar to A Scanner Darkly. For his first effort, he painstakingly painted over frames from Avengers: Endgame and used them as keyframes for his animation. (Thanks Joe!)

Anyone who has sat through endless corporate meetings and conference calls can relate to the often uncontrollable desire to yawn. This animated short by Jakob Fløtre Eiring and Konrad Hjemli not only offers a humorous look at this situation but also is almost guaranteed to make you yawn by the end.

After returning from a trip to the moon, an astronaut is disappointed to find that the world has lost interest in her journey. As things progress, her life intersects with a filmmaker and a bear on a unicycle in this charming and touching animated short film by writer/director Mathieu Libman.

Bernardo Britto’s emotionally-satisfying short film follows the story of an ordinary man who is tasked with creating the definitive history of humanity before aliens come to blow up our planet. The animation captured numerous awards when on the festival circuit back in 2014. Now, the clip is for all to view online.

Animator Greg Cooper created this spellbinding fan music video for the track The Magician by Andy Shauf. The clip has been a labor of love for Greg over the course of four years between his other work. Be sure to check out the original music video by Winston Hacking, as it’s also quite good.

Inspired by the design of the amazing Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, artist João Elias created this wonderful CGI animation of the classic German sports car. Blending fantasy with photorealism, the clip starts with the car assembling itself, then tearing across the Bonneville salt flats, leaving a trail of dust in its wake.

This animated short film plays out like a side-scroller action game, but the level design isn’t just some background scenery. Instead, the story of its protagonist’s tragic past relationship are recalled as she runs through the stages, fueled by a blast of caffeine. Animator Oskar Alvarado offers up a dramatic black-and-white vision in his music video for the MachineCode track Every Ones & Nothings. The sci-fi imagery was loosely inspired by the Incan creation myth of the Mesoamerican serpent deity, Kukulkan. (Thanks Jeffery!)
