One man’s offense is another alien’s defense: in deference to our ET overlords, arcades on the other side of the galaxy usually rename Taito’s classic game as “Space Defenders.”

Another animated short film by Supinfocom Arles students, Oceansize remixes the sci-fi/underwater plot of The Abyss, the alien black oil of The X-Files and Resident Evil’s monstrous bosses.

It looks like Futurama’s Raiders of the Lost Arcade segment, but the video above is an actual game; it includes Fry’s Rush soundtrack, episode clips and a Planet Express Ship cameo.

It may be a teaser, but with a length of over a minute, beautifully epic visuals and a huge character reveal at 0:39, this second video for Mass Effect 2 is full of Geth-slayin’ win.

Created in only 4 weeks, Scoop Volante is a fast-paced and funny animated film about an alien and an overzealous photographer; kudos to the 4-person team for a Pixar-quality short.

Just like its predecessor, Natural Selection 2 is an aliens vs. marines Half-Life mod; it’s due out this year but we’re drooling over this in-engine teaser, which shows off the playable Onos.

Available only in May, this Jimiyo t-shirt is overflowing with awesome: Darth Vader, Terminator, Freddie Krueger and the Predator serve as the ultimate horsemen of the apocalypse.

Above: District 9 finally gets a teaser trailer; based on 2005 short film Alive in Joburg, it’s being produced by LOTR’s Peter Jackson and tells the story of alien refugees in South Africa.

Aptly-named Plastic Arts will be dropping three awesome (and slightly cute) 8″ Alien vs. Predator Requiem Super deformed vinyls this May; choose from Alien, Predator or PredAlien.

Looking a bit like Rokysopp’s “Happy Up Here,” this Invasion t-shirt it’s every 8-bit gamer’s dream come true: you’ll get waves of pixel invaders descending on a burning city.

A new, meatier trailer is up for Monsters vs. Aliens: the first half is focused mostly on Ginormica, but you’ll learn more about all the characters (including the big, bad alien invaders).

Due out this June, Spore’s Galactic Adventures expansion adds further depth to the space phase; this Captain Trailer focuses on a single avatar, which ain’t a bad thing.
