For a decade, Vlogger Tom Scott has entertained and educated us with his science and travel videos. 10 years to the day since his first YouTube clip, he’s decided to take a well-deserved hiatus. His final weekly video – at least for now – is a humble explanation of his reasons for slowing down and a celebration of the incredible experiences he’s shared with us.

NCSOFT’s upcoming action-adventure game Project M is based on the idea that the universe is a simulation and that every particle is data that can be manipulated by your decisions and actions. The trailer’s intro is performed by an AI-generated version of NCSOFT strategy boss Songyee Yoon, complete with a deepfaked voice.

It sounds like the title of a Tenacious D movie, but the first trailer for the fifth Indiana Jones movie looks pretty awesome. With director James Mangold at the helm (Logan, 3:10 to Yuma), expect incredible action and great storytelling. The main story unfolds in 1969, along with some de-aged flashback scenes. In theaters 6.30.23.

The first time we went tandem paragliding, we jumped off of a cliff at Torrey Pines and landed on a nude beach filled with wrinkled old men. Jordan Wade had quite a different experience, as he took off from the Alps and captured awe-inspiring footage of the snow-capped mountains, grassy hills, and a historic Swiss village.

Teton Gravity Research and HBO teamed up for this four-part documentary series that combines extreme sports, global adventuring, and nature show in one. Each episode, a group of skilled athletes take on daring missions to reach exotic and undiscovered locations. Premieres 7.12.2022 on HBO Max.

Skiers Sam Cohen and Michelle Parker set out to conquer a hard-to-reach mountain peak in the Cascades. After a long hike and five days of camping, they made it to the Northeast face of the appropriately named Mount Fury. Kudos to director Mike Rogge and the Verb Cabin team for following along on this incredible adventure.

Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg take on the characters Nathan Drake and Sully Sullivan in this big-screen adaptation of Naughty Dog’s beloved PlayStation game series. Expect globetrotting action, adventure, and wise-cracking as they pursue “the greatest treasure never found.” In theaters 2.18.2021.

The action-adventure RPG Black Myth: Wukong isn’t arriving until 2023, but it’s already looking incredible. This extended gameplay trailer gives us a look at the spectacular environments, enemies, and visual effects, powered by Unreal Engine 5. The game is targeting a solid 60FPS at 4K resolution too.

Adventure photographer Corey Rich travels to the edge along with his subjects to capture incredibly dramatic images of adrenaline junkies and outdoor athletes. From hanging off of a cliff to standing on the top of the mountain, this 288 page book takes us inside of the artist’s process and features 130 color photos of his works.

The first gameplay trailer for the action adventure game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order shows the friends and foes you’ll meet as Jedi-in-training Cal Kestis. A lengthy gameplay video showcases Cal’s combat abilities and Force powers. The game drops 11/15/19.

The sequel to Sunless Sea, Sunless Skies is a narrative-driven Gothic horror adventure game for PCs. You play the captain of a locomotive sailing through space in a world where the stars are dying. Explore the universe, take care of your crew and try to survive.

From falling, to avalanches, to hypothermia, to extreme altitude sickness, there are many ways to die ascending Mt. Everest. Wendover Productions offers a look at some of the many things expeditions put in place to help improve climbers’ chances of survival.

From Infamous creator Sucker Punch comes an open world samurai adventure game. Ghost of Tsushima sees you as a vastly outnumbered samurai trying to repel a massive Mongol invasion. The teaser was made with the game’s impressive graphics engine.

(Gore) A first-person horror adventure featuring dark and creepy imagery that clearly draws inspiration from the work of the late, great artist H.R. Giger. Its gross organic environments and weapons are almost scarier than the enemies at this point in development.

(PG-13, Flashing images) The year is 2084. You are an Observer, an investigator who can jack into the minds of others to mine for clues. This cyberpunk horror game takes the detective vision mechanic to new heights, and stars Rutger Hauer as the main character.

BioWare’s drop-dead gorgeous third-person RPG/shooter. Players explore and battle in a lush open world, wearing custom exosuits which provide unique abilities. The gameplay footage is running in-engine in 4K, and will come to Xbox One X and other consoles.

We flew to Arjeplog, Sweden to drive some of Jaguar and Land Rover’s awesome cars on challenging ice circuits, and spent the better part of a week going sideways and doing donuts. Attend for yourself, and you might even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.

Adventurer Klemen Premrl takes us on a tour of some of Iceland’s most astounding natural structures, made from ice and volcanic rock. We’re still blown away every time we see the blue-green color of naturally-occurring ice.
