Awesome Action

Whoa. Get ready to cut at will in the latest installment of Metal Gear Solid, entitled Rising, which looks seriously badass and deeply satisfying at the same time. Kojima rules. (Thanks Sterling!)

Based on Warren Ellis’ graphic novel, an all-star cast led by Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich play ex-CIA agents who can’t leave their pasts behind.

Square Enix is showing off its latest side-scrolling-actioner, which looks sort of like a 4-player co-op version of Strider. The game hits Playstation Store and Xbox Live Arcade later this year.

Video hit the web today of what looks like a reboot of Mortal Kombat, going with a gritty, real-world take on the classic franchise. We’re not sure if it’s for a game or this movie, but it looks awesome.

We don’t care that it’s in Japanese. This horror / action flick looks awesome. The story centers on a man who loses everything and becomes an iron-celled-metal-man hell-bent on revenge.

Rubber, written and directed by French indie filmmaker Quentin Dupieux, tells the story of a telepathic killer tire, obsessed with revenge, finding things to blow up in the California desert.

There’s more awesome Avatar action and effects in the final full length trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, coming to theatres in 3D in July. Fire nation bad!
