Musician Seth Everman takes a moment to step away from his keyboard to bang on the drums. To spice things up a bit, he used them to add a whole new rhythm track to ABBA’s 1975 classic Mamma Mia. Seth, we challenge you to do the same with Herb Alpert’s theme from Casino Royale next.
A few years back, Alexey Rom’s video of Bohemian Rhapsody performed by a 100-year-old self-playing organ was a massive hit. We recently stumbled onto one of his follow-ups, a version of ABBA’s 1974 hit Dancing Queen. For each song, Alexey painstakingly creates his own custom player scrolls.
As one commenter on YouTube put it, The Floppotron is “the most consistently good performer I’ve ever heard.” We suppose there’s something to be said for a band that’s controlled by computer. So sit back and enjoy their pristine electro-noise version of the ABBA classic Mamma Mia.
