Awesome A Capella

Vocalist Mike Tompkins teamed up with members of The Harlem Globetrotters to put together this fun a capella version of their theme song, using nothing more than voices, bouncing basketballs, and foot stomping to create the multilayered track.

And here we thought the polka version of Rammstein’s 1997 metal track Du Hast was the wackiest version we’d ever hear. But this is the internet, and where there’s a will there’s a way. So sit back and enjoy this silly interpretation of the track as performed by Viva Vox.

Cuban group Vocal Sampling turns in a wild performance of The Eagles’ classic Hotel California, creating not just harmonies, but every musical instrument with their voices. Their version of Every Breath You Take might even be better.

The guys from The Warp Zone and Dodger PressHeartToContinue turn in a fun rendition of the closing theme song to cult classic cartoon The Powerpuff Girls. The costumes are almost as entertaining as the singing. Especially Mojo Jojo.

Performer Daniel Koren turns in an unlikely a capella rendition of Nirvana’s classic Lithium, turning it into a finger-snapping, head-bobbing jazz/doo-wop track. I like it, I’m not gonna snap.

If Billboard had a separate chart for YouTube pop stars, Mike Tompkins would be one of the mainstays on it. His beatbox skills, production and – let’s face it – charm are on par with his singing.
