Microsoft reminds Apple what a pro tablet looks like. Like its predecessors, the Surface Pro 4 runs a desktop OS – in this case Windows 10 – and has a (pseudo) optional keyboard cover, which has better spacing and a larger touchpad than the Pro 3.

Microsoft once again improves on the laptop-tablet hybrid. The Surface Book has a 13.5″ 3000×2000 display that can be used as a tablet when undocked from its laptop-grade keyboard. The latter also has additional battery and an optional discrete GPU.

A portable MIDI controller-only version of the touch- and pressure-sensitive Seaboard Grand piano. The Seaboard Rise has 25 keys, connects via USB or Bluetooth and has an internal battery. It also comes with Roli’s Equator software synth.

The iPad Air 2’s big brother has a crazy-sharp 5.6 megapixel 12.9″ display, enhanced multitouch, a 1.8x faster CPU, four speakers, and an optional tactile keyboard cover ($169) and a pixel-precise, pressure- and tilt-sensitive stylus dubbed the Apple Pencil ($99).

The Razer Turret is a foldable lapdesk with an integrated Bluetooth/ 2.4GHz USB wireless keyboard and a magnetic mousepad. It also comes with a 3500DPI mouse and a charging dock. Available Q2 2015 for $130.

Released in time for the show’s 40th anniversary spectacular, the SNL app gives you free (ad-supported) access to thousands of sketches, including unaired ones. It also comes with an SNL emoji keyboard.
