From webslingers to high-voltage Wolverine claws, The Hacksmith’s arsenal of superhero gadgets is approaching that of Stark Enterprises. This time, his shop put together a piece that combines Iron Man’s arc reactor with Captain America’s iconic shield, a weapon you can find in the game Marvel Contest of Champions.

Final Fantasy game artist Tetsuya Nomura offers his unique take on Marvel’s superheroes. Our favorite is the creepy crawly spider leg backpack for Spider-Man, but Iron Man’s wing blades, and Captain America’s chiseled look are also great. Bandai’s imposing Steel Samurai War Machine figure has more arms and abs than Samurai Iron Man. The 7″ tall figure has four guns on each wrist, seven more on its right shoulder, and a freakin’ cannon on its left shoulder. It also comes with a sword and a jetpack.

After regaling us with an Iron Man history lesson, Burger Fiction continues its exploration of comic book characters, with the on screen evolution of America’s hometown hero, Steve Rogers and his red, white, and blue alter ego. We still love the 1979 Cap’s Evel Knievel looks.

The lines are drawn and the characters – well, most of them – have chosen their sides. Iron Man, War Machine, Black Widow, Vision and the Black Panther take on Cap, the Winter Soldier, the Falcon, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and Ant-Man in a super powered Civil War.

The world’s governments want superheroes to be accountable for their actions, with Cap and Iron Man taking opposing stances. The film adaptation of Marvel’s hit comic book crossover appears to be much smaller in scale, but we’ll take what we can get.

Wired talks to Shawn Thorsson, whose life changed course after he saw a trailer for the first Iron Man movie. After making a replica of Tony Stark’s suit, Shawn never looked back and has been making amazing costumes and prop replicas ever since.
