Established in Belfast in 1776, McConnell’s is Ireland’s oldest whisky brand. (Yes, “whisky” without the “e” as it was spelled two centuries ago.) After a 90-year absence, one of the most storied names in Irish whisky is back. McConnell’s will soon debut a new distillery in a historic building near its birthplace.

McConnell’s Irish Whisky

In time for St. Patrick’s Day, author/photographer Natalie Migliarini of Beautiful Booze created the McConnell’s Irish Buck cocktail to showcase the personality of this restored brand, which comes in a vintage bottle design with a hefty cork stopper.

1 oz. cloudy (unfiltered) apple juice
0.5 oz lemon juice
2 oz. ginger beer
1/2 an apple
