After building a prototype air-powered ornithopter, YouTuber Works by Design wanted to optimize the design to make it smaller and completely self-contained. With inspiration and education from engineer Tom Stanton, he created a compact engine that runs on the highly compressed gas in a CO2 cylinder typically used for carbonating soda water.
