Garcia’s Chicago
The Windy City has an intimate new live music venue and restaurant in the West Loop, and its comfy vibe is as cool as its band bookings. Every detail of Garcia’s Chicago honors Jerry Garcia from the living room feel to the psychedelic murals and family photos — thanks to the help of Jerry’s daughters, Trixie and Annabelle.
Designed by Bob Quellos (of fc STUDIO) and Tristam Steinberg, the room’s shape and structure support a range of performances — from acoustic sets to full-scale rock shows and jams. To the delight of Deadheads, Grahame Lesh opened the club, setting the stage for LaMP, Grace Potter, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Dogs in a Pile.
