It’s amazing how plants mature from tiny seeds into full-grown flowers, bushes, and trees. Boxlapse has recorded numerous time-lapse videos of plant growth and compiled some of the best examples. The video of 39 different plants includes 5583 days – or over 15 years of growing time, condensed down to 30 minutes.

Half-Asleep Chris thought it would be fun to put a LEGO rollercoaster into space. So he and his pal Dan designed a custom rollercoaster that could withstand the flight and teamed up with Sent Into Space to launch it into the stratosphere. Once in space, the brave Minifigure astronauts got the thrill ride of their lives.

Did you know that every state in America has at least one mythical creature that supposedly lives within its borders? While they can be as peaceful and calm as their demeanor makes them out to be, just like other wild animals these “guinea bigs” are also capable of violence. And so much poop.

Croissants are typically shaped like a crescent, but at Turin, Italy’s Farmacia del Cambio, they make croissants that are shaped like cubes and spheres. As one of its farcical efforts to prove their government’s awesomeness, North Korea has its “own” smartphones and cellular network. Half as Interesting takes a look at the Monty Python levels of inadequacy and surveillance in these devices and infrastructure. The upbeat music over all this brazen display of oppression makes the whole thing even more hilarious.

Ride along with pro driver Gardner Nichols as he zooms towards the top of Pikes Peak in a Rivian R1T. The quiet, quad-motor pickup truck looks incredibly confident through the treacherous twists and turns as Gardner blows away his previous production truck record by about 30 seconds with a time of 10:53.883.

We’ve seen how a company makes carbon fiber bike frames. Lemon Films toured the Xerowheel factory for a look at how they produce high-end road bike wheels. The process starts by cutting and threading spokes, then bending aluminum strips before drilling and balancing. They wrap the rims in carbon fiber and then install hubs and spokes.

(PG-13) Tech companies have made us hate the term “AI” so much with their unbridled bandwagoning. Thankfully, Matt Rose reminds us that this stuff is also an endless factory of comedy. He made a video compiling some of the hilarious creations of the inspirational quote parody generator InspiroBot. “Depression is intense, but so are you” is legit, though.

My eyes are blind, but I can see… somebody’s watching me. Mashup artist Bill McClintock masterfully combined Rockwell f/Michael Jackson’s 1984 hit Somebody’s Watching Me with Black Sabbath’s tracks Snowblind and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. This makes us want a Crazy Train/Thriller combo now.

Writer/Director Robert Eggers (The Lighthouse) offers his dark take on this classic monster story about a terrifying vampire and the young woman he becomes obsessed with. The film’s star-studded cast includes Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, and Willem Dafoe. This creepy holiday gift lands in theaters 12.25.24.

Imagine what it might be like if a bunch of monsters came to town and started stomping around. MetaBall Studios takes to the streets with their latest size comparison video, giving us a sense of scale as various fictional monsters invade Earth and wreak havoc on the place. Once they start getting 30 feet tall or more, they can’t help but destroy the place.

In this sci-fi short film, a young woman starts cheating on her app-arranged boyfriend with her home’s robotic assistant. When her parents sense that something is going on between them, they try to trade in the robot for a new model. Filmmaker Joe Picozzi’s Computer Love explores our growing reliance on technology for social interaction.
