Original stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter decide they’re heding to the future to visit their future selves and steal the Wyld Stallions song that will save the universe. (PG-13: Language) The guys from Achievement Hunter and Rooster Teeth present a new competition show where ridiculously costumed contestants take their miniature golf games to the max on a quest for their very own ugly green jacket. Premieres 6.10.20 on Rooster Teeth’s subscription channel FIRST.

This Indonesian action flick melds martial arts and superhero genres. Based on the country’s popular comic series, our hero Gundala and his alter ego Sancaka must battle the evil Pengkor and his legion of orphan assassins. The film opened to positive reviews in Indonesia, an is getting an English subtitled release July 2020.

Two trailers in, and Christopher Nolan’s new sci-fi espionage flick is still a bit of a mystery to us, but all we know is that its protagonist has been bestowed with some kind of ability to manipulate events through something called “inversion.” Drops 7.17.20 – hopefully in theaters.

“Let’s just say, we’re very hard to kill.” Charlize Theron stars in this Netflix feature about a group of mercenaries who possess the gift of immortality. Sort of. You see, they live indefinitely, but any given death could be their last. Based on the graphic novel by Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernandez. Drops 7.10.20.

This Spike Lee Joint follows the story of four African-American veterans who return to Vietnam decades after the war to search for both the remains of their fallen squad leader, and a mountain of buried treasure. Stars Delroy Lindo, Clarke Peters, Norm Lewis, Isiah Whitlock, Jr., and Chadwick Boseman. Drops 6.12.20 on Netflix.

CreatorVC is producing this documentary about the science fiction films of the 1980s. The retrospective will include more than four hours of footage and interviews with the actors, directors, writers, SFX experts, and composers who brought these futuristic visions to life. The project has already blown through its Kickstarter goal.

It took them a couple of years to get around to it, but Screen Junkies‘ roasting of Denis Villenueve’s visually spectacular Blade Runner sequel is spot-on. The movie might have been long, deliberately-paced, and self-important, but we still loved every minute of it.

The 7-episode series premieres 8.9.2020 on Showtime.

The 1980 remake of Flash Gordon is one of the campiest sci-fi movies of all time, but over the years, it’s become a cult classic. Now, the film is getting a re-release with a full UHD digital remaster, bringing out all of the colors and details in the costumes and scenery, and cranking up the audio on Queen’s original soundtrack. Brian Volk-Weiss is the man behind The Toys That Made Us. When he heard about the challenges faced by independent toy stores in the face of COVID-19, he got to work producing a docuseries about 50 wonderful shops, giving them some added exposure, and donating the majority of the show’s proceeds to the stores featured.

Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs star in the TNT series Snowpiercer, a post-apocalyptic thriller based on the film by Oscar winner Bong Joon Ho (Parasite). Set seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, the politics of survival play out on a perpetually moving train circling the globe. Debuts 5.17.20.

(PG-13: Language) Steve Carell and the creators of The Office present a comedy about a new branch of the U.S. military called “Space Force” – oh wait, that’s an actual thing. The satire follows a four-star general who expects to run the Air Force, when he’s handed Space Force instead of his dream job. Hits Netflix 5.29.20.

The 1-hour special lands on Netflix 5.5.20.

Despite the title, ArtSpear Entertainment’s hilarious animated trailer spoof is based entirely on movies that came out in 2019, including Aladdin, Joker, The Lion King, Aquaman, Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, and more. We’re pretty sure John Wick threw more knives than that though.

Set in 1930s Los Angeles, this HBO original series stars Matthew Rhys (The Americans) in a gritty origin story for the vigorous and dedicated criminal defense attorney made famous by actor Raymond Burr in the 1950s and 1960s. Premieres 6.21.20.
