After discovering a young stowaway, they realize she’s a valuable and dangerous target, and decide to demand a ransom for her return. Coming to Netflix 2.5.21.

Tom Holland stars in this drama about a young Army medic who struggles with PTSD and turns to robbing banks after his drug addiction puts him into debt. Directed by The Russo Brothers (Avengers:Endgame + Infinity War, Community). In theaters 2.26.21 and on Apple TV + on 3.12.21.

Like many of you, we thought Wonder Woman 1984 was a horrible mess. Screen Junkies applies their razor-sharp brand of cynicism to DC’s disastrously bad superhero flick, which honestly is far too easy of a target. They are right that it was a pretty good tourism video for Washington, D.C. though.

Owen Wilson and Salma Hayek star in this fantasy about two people who come to believe they’re living in a simulation, and their struggles between blissful ignorance and the real “ugly” world. Anthony Mackie and Damson Idris star in this action/sci-fi popcorn flick about a rebellious drone pilot who ends up assigned to a new officer who just happens to be a top-secret android. Their mission: locate a doomsday device before insurgents beat them to it. Coming to Netflix 1.15.2021.

Regina King makes her directorial debut with this feature about a night when Cassius Clay, Malcolm X, Jim Brown, and Sam Cooke found themselves in the same place and the pivotal role that evening played in their lives. Inspired by the play by Kemp Powers. Coming to theaters and Prime Video on 1.15.21.

After making a splash on the international film festival circuit in 2019, Valentyn Vasyanovych’s Atlantis has a U.S. distributor. Set in 2025, the film offers a glimpse into a future where Ukraine defeats Russia, and where people struggle to live and love in a desolate and dystopian world.

HBO’s hit series Westworld was inspired by Michael Crichton’s 1973’s feature film of the same name. The earlier film isn’t as expansive as the TV show, but it’s definitely as creepy. And now that you can stream the original on HBO Max, they’ve created a modern trailer for the classic version.

Based on the bestselling novel by Aravind Adiga, The White Tiger is the story of a man who grows up in abject poverty in India. After he finds work as a driver for a wealthy family, he uses his wits and perseverance to bootstrap himself from the bottom to the top of Bangalore’s dysfunctional food chain. Hits Netflix and theaters 1.22.2021.

(PG-13: Language) Samuel L. Jackson, Hugh Grant, Lisa Kudrow, Kumail Nanjiani, and Tracy Ullman head up the cast of this documentary special to send off the worst year most of us have experienced. It’s from the creators of Black Mirror, so we expect the comedy to be especially dark. Coming to Netflix 12.27.2020.

Director Peter Jackson has been working on a documentary about the legendary rock band The Beatles. It’s been delayed until August 2021, but Jackson has been kind enough to share a brief montage, much of which has been culled from more than 50 hours of never-before-seen footage of the Fab Four.

Based on Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse’s Dark Horse comic, Resident Alien follows the story of an extraterrestrial who crash-lands on Earth on a mission to destroy humanity, only to get distracted by a crime-solving mission while disguised as a human. Alan Tudyk (Firefly, Rogue One) stars. Coming to SYFY 1.27.2021.

To stoke enthusiasm for WW84, Warner Bros. Pictures has released footage of the first three minutes of the movie. The scene features a young Diana as she reminisces about her childhood and training on Themyscira, but doesn’t give up much else. DC’s latest premieres in theaters and on HBO Max on 12.25.2020.

This Danish series follows the story of Astrid, a woman whose sister vanished two decades ago with 20 other students on a graduation trip. Despite the case being closed, Astrid can’t escape the feeling that there’s more to the story and heads down the rabbit hole in pursuit of answers. The first season hits Netflix on 12.30.2020.

Now that Disney+ has reeled us in with The Mandalorian, they’ve started work on their next Star Wars series. This promo for the upcoming Rogue One prequel brings back Diego Luna’s character Cassian Andor and provides a small glimpse of the work going on behind-the-scenes. The initial 12-episode run hits sometime in 2022.

If you told us a movie about a plastic spork being dug out of the trash would make over a billion dollars, we’d think you were nuts. But Toy Story 4 managed to do just that while keeping a 25-year-old franchise fresh and fun. Screen Junkies latest trailer reminded us it’s about time for us to queue up a Toy Story marathon.

Melissa McCarthy stars in this comedy about a woman who comes face-to-face with an AI who says that it will destroy the Earth if she can’t prove that humanity is worth saving. James Corden voices the machine, while McCarthy’s husband and writing partner Ben Falcone directed the film. Drops 11.26.2020 on HBO Max.

Sam Raimi’s original The Evil Dead movies were some of the most entertaining, goriest, and outlandish horror flicks of all time. Screen Junkies fondly looks back at The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, and Army of Darkness as Ash takes on the Deadites with his boomstick and chainsaw hand. Groovy!
