Joaquin Phoenix plays the lead character who must face his demons on a wild journey of self-discovery. The star-studded cast includes Nathan Lane, Amy Ryan, Parker Posey, and Patti LuPone.

The last time we saw Nicolas Cage play a vampire was in 1988’s Vampire’s Kiss. He portrays a much more famous creature of the night this time, Dracula. Nicholas Hoult plays his loyal servant tasked with bringing him humans to drain and might finally break the cycle of codependency with his narcissistic boss.

Giancarlo Esposito heads up the cast of this Netflix series about a master thief who assembles a crew to pull off a $7 billion heist. With its story unfolding over 25 years, the episodes stream in random order other than the finale. Each resulting sequence offers differing perspectives on the story. Drops 1.1.2023.

After being left to care for her 8-year-old niece, a roboticist decides she could use some help. So she programs her prototype toy robot to be her niece’s companion. Naturally, the thing goes nuts in this horror from writer/producer James Wan, the man behind Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring. In theaters 1.6.2023.

(Spoilers) If you watched Andor season one, you know that it’s one of the best and most intelligent Star Wars stories yet. But Honest Trailers must have found something about the series to complain about, right? Or maybe they’ll just moan about all the other Star Wars stuff it’s better than.

HBO and the creator of Chernobyl take on the brilliant, bleak, and nightmarish video game The Last of Us. Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsay (Game of Thrones) find themselves partnered up as they try and survive a post-apocalyptic world filled with terrifying mutants and even worse humans. It sounds like the title of a Tenacious D movie, but the first trailer for the fifth Indiana Jones movie looks pretty awesome. With director James Mangold at the helm (Logan, 3:10 to Yuma), expect incredible action and great storytelling. The main story unfolds in 1969, along with some de-aged flashback scenes. This dark comedy is inspired by the insane true story of a drug runner whose plane crashed in the woods of Georgia, and the bear that ingested an insane amount of coke after finding a duffel bag filled with the drug.

Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, and Don Cheadle star in this indie comedy about a modern family whose distracted and noise-filled existence is disrupted by an industrial accident. Based on the book by Don DeLillo, written for the screen and directed by Noah Baumbach. Coming to Netflix and theaters 12.30.22.

James Cameron goes all-in on CGI and 3D with the long-awaited sequel to Avatar. The Way of Water follows the continuing story of the Sully family as Jake, Neytiri, and their children battle to keep each other safe against a new series of threats from those who wish to exploit their world. Expect lots of underwater action this time.

Writer/director Mark Jenkin’s gritty horror has the looks of a grainy old grindhouse film. It follows the tale of a wildlife volunteer working on a supposedly uninhabited island who descends into madness as reality and nightmares become one.

It’s a story 13.8-billion years in the making, and there’s no better voice on Earth to tell it than Morgan Freeman. This epic, six-part documentary series explores the formation of our universe and the evolutionary events which created life as we know it. Drops 11.22.22 on Netflix.
