Jimmy Fallon and Billy Joel play with the iPad app Loopy to create a virtual doo-wop group, performing a charming cover of The Tokens’ classic The Lion Sleeps Tonight. Though neither of them has the falsetto of Jay Siegel’s original.

Instrumental funk band Vulfpeck wants to go on a tour where all of their shows are free to watch. To fund their tour, the band is planning on exploiting a loophole in Spotify. 10/10 would listen again. Experience it while it lasts.

NPR Music is streaming The Rite of Spring, the upcoming album of prog jazz trio The Bad Plus, most famous for their sublime rendition of Everybody Wants to Rule the World. The album covers Igor Stravinsky’s eponymous ballet score.

Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee is challenging enough to play on a musical instrument, so when we stumbled onto opera singer Malena Ernman performing the song with her voice, we were speechless.

While it’s a sound that owes a ton of credit to Stevie Wonder and Zapp & Roger, we have to say we’re extremely impressed with this funky demo of a talkbox with a Moog Little Phatty synth by Steveland Swatkins of Excellent Gentlemen.

Creation clashes with destruction in this amazing stop-motion video made by Oh Yeah Wow. It serves a music video for Elliot The Bull’s single Colourblind. Whether or not you like the song, the animation is top notch.

Ok, the fact that Mario Wienerroither’s latest Musicless Music Video actually has drums and a guitar in it makes it a bit of a misnomer. But we still enjoyed the even more deconstructed than usual take on The White Stripes in this clip.
