Caesar and his kin are drawn into a war against an army of humans, led by a Colonel (Woody Harrelson) hellbent on ending the apes, and forcing the audience to choose whether to root for the humans or the apes. Perhaps the next movie will be Rise of the Planet of the Fleas.

(PG-13) From Horrible Bosses, King of Kong and The Goldbergs director Seth Gordon comes a Seth Rogen-style comedy masquerading as a Baywatch reboot. Considering no one asked for it, this is probably the best outcome. Starring Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario.

It’s Marvel’s third attempt in not so many years to reboot the Spider-Man franchise, so we’ve got some concerns, but we did find Tom Holland to be awkwardly charming in Civil War, so we’ll give him a chance. Watch the trailer and decide for yourself.

One of the coolest concepts we’ve seen on the LEGO Ideas‘ website, Brett Cuviello’s Iron Giant build is simply spectacular, and does a great job replicating the giant robot from Brad Bird’s 1999 animated classic. The 2,000 piece set would have to be pricy, but we desperately want one.

Filmmaker Clark Zhu presents a year-end compilation which features scenes from 262 motion pictures released in 2016. While not every movie lived up to its trailer, it’s still a fantastic recap of the year in film. Full list of movies here.

Hideo Kojima’s first game with his independent studio is an open-world action PS4 exclusive that stars perfect avatars of actors Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen, along with director Guillermo del Toro. Aaaand that’s all we know. But in Kojima we trust.

Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe star in this popcorn flick about a pissed off undead Egpytian princess. Tom does things from great heights, gets hurt, runs, is low key good at comedy, stares intensely, starts with a whisper, ends with a scream, saves the day, smiles.

It reads more like a video game plot than a feature film, but we’re still gonna watch this Netflix original film about a mysterious and nearly invisible force that’s been killing civilians in a wartorn city, and the special ops and scientific operation to stop them. Drops 12/9/16.
