The latest single off of tUnE-yArDs’ 2014 electro-harmonic album Nikki Nack features a music video packed with retro-style visual effects which perfectly reflect the group’s low-fi, avant garde, ’80s-tinged sound.

This watch won’t help you tell time at all, but you’ll still have the coolest watch on the block – since yours will be a fully-functional (though very small) ant colony. Comes with sand, a feeding dropper, tweezers, and of course, five live ants.

Austrian artist Klemens Torggler creates these amazing doors which open and close by rotating two panels around pivot points, and need no tracks to operate. We want all of our walls made out of these things.

Carbon 3D’s innovative take on Digital Light Processing allows its 3D printer to print up to 40″ per hour. That’s 25 to 100 times faster than other 3D printers. The process also makes it possible to print elastic objects.

Nikolas Baumgarten’s Zoomquilt is a website with an infinitely zooming image made of fantasy illustrations. The loop closes in on itself after a few minutes, but it’s still a nice effect. Also available as an Android live wallpaper.

Ofer Rozenman took a trip across eastern Europe with his wife and friends, and along the way he managed to snap 8,000+ beautifully composed photos to create this far above average time-lapse of their journey. The track is Big Jet Plane.

Temporarily on display at London’s Trafalgar Square, Hans Haacke’s Gift Horse is a 2:1 bronze horse skeleton. The ribbon on its front leg is actually an LED display that shows a live ticker of the London Stock Exchange. More here.

Editor Rishi Kaneria explores the effective use of color in the work of Wes Anderson, and the use of monochromatic color schemes to create painterly settings. Kaneria previously looked at the use of color in Pixar films in ROYGBIV.

A legend among fellow model makers, Pere Tarragó builds highly realistic 1:5 and 1:6 scale motorcycle models. He always brings the actual motorcycle to his workshop as reference and then recreates it part by part.

This brilliantly offbeat music video from animator Felix Colgrave (the guy behind Man Spaghetti) is the perfect complement to the sonically rich neo-psychedelic rock landscapes of Fever the Ghost. (Thanks Matt!)
