Arcade Game Typography
The 70s, 80s, and 90s gave us some tons of classic arcade games, and along with them came lots of great pixel art. Typeface designer Toshi Omagari’s book catalogs some of the many cool pixelated fonts which were used for displaying scores on arcade machines. ReadOnlyMemory has a limited-edition hardcover version as well.
Arcade Game Typography is a definitive and beautifully designed survey of ’70s, ’80s and early ’90s arcade game pixel type. This hardback, belly-banded edition is available in an edition of 1000 copies only, exclusively from Read-Only Memory: https://t.co/J1L5OWagDB pic.twitter.com/Kv0D8Dbhug— Read-Only Memory (@ROMvg) October 17, 2019
