Compact discs use a laser to read data and convert that to music. Vinyl records, on the other hand, use a needle to pick up vibrations. Artist Tee Ken Ng used a laser pointer to do something else with a record, exposing a glow-in-the-dark record to laser light as it spun on a turntable. He made some more complicated patterns in this second video.

Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange? North of the Border takes us to the town of Halloween with a little Nightmare Before Christmas goodness. His latest sculpture does a great job capturing the look of Ken Page’s villainous Oogie Boogie, complete with glow-in-the-dark abilities.

After painting a room in the blackest black paint you can buy today, The Action Lab peeled that off and replaced it with the brightest glow-in-the-dark pigment, called LIT. He then hit it with a crazy bright 100,000 lumen flashlight to see just how intense the glow can get.

After receiving countless fan requests, the guys at DipYourCar got the brightest glow-in-the-dark pigments they could find, and covered a Mitsubishi Evo with the phosphorescent agents. They applied numerous coats on top of a peel-off white basecoat, and the finished effect is impressive in a darkened environment.

This crazy puzzle from Japan comes with 150 pieces which are all the same exact color, making it extremely challenging to complete. To add to the fun factor, its pieces are phosphorescent, so you can work on it in the dark, and leave temporary shadow art on it.

Australian Domino Art turns out the lights as they knock over a bunch of phosphorescent dominoes. In all, they used over 20,000 dominoes to create all of the glowing displays. (Thanks Marcel!)

Artist Peter Draws creates a wonderful line art illustration using “invisible” ink under a black light. Watching the ink flow off of his glass pen tip into the water is just as mesmerizing as onto the canvas itself. His charming and soothing narration definitely reminds us of Bob Ross.

Nissan commissioned artist Ian Cook to create a massive 2200 sq. ft. piece of art, which combined the artist’s brushstrokes and splatters with the tread marks of a Nissan LEAF, creating a glowing self-portrait of the compact EV.

In an attempt to make its homely LEAF electric car a bit more interesting, Nissan Europe gave one a factory glow-in-the-dark paintjob – which we think would look even better on a Lambo. Sadly, there are no plans to put it into production.

Instructables editor Mike Warren made a rustic glow-in-the-dark table using photoluminescent powder, clear casting epoxy and pecky cypress, which is cypress wood partially damaged by fungi. More at Instructables.
