Weta Workshop teamed up with Trishula Entertainment to create a board game based on the movie District 9. Set in the movie’s timeline, the game has you play one of four factions, with the goal of gathering the most tech and surviving until the end.

WETA makes full-size dupes of the first gun Wikus fired at MNU HQ for target practice. Based on the original design by Greg Broadmore, WETA says the weapon won’t fire unless you are part prawn.

The guys from How It Should Have Ended put their animated spin on the way that they think District 9 should have played out. Maybe it’s for the best that Wikus turned into a prawn after all.

Set in a futuristic and dystopic Mexico, this proof-of-concept short is about a man who figures out that the world is not what it seems. We’re not convinced that it’s as profound as it seems, but its mix of District 9 and The Matrix is intriguing.

The director of District 9 is up to something, but we don’t know what. This hidden teaser showed up in the latest iPad issue of Wired, and all we know is that it’s creepy, and leaves us wanting for more.
