Making its official public debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the high‑performance 2025 Defender OCTA will show why Land Rover is calling it the toughest and most durable Defender yet — off-road and on — with a 4.4‑liter Twin Turbo mild‑hybrid V8 producing 626 hp and 553 lb‑ft of torque. In testing, it delivered the goods, going 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 sec.
It looks good, too, with the debut of performance seats made from extra-durable materials and in multiple colorways. Other improvements include heavily reworked chassis components, 6D Dynamics with pitch and roll control, and OCTA Mode to kick ass off-road — another Defender first.
Designed and engineered in the UK, the Defender belongs to the JLR house of brands alongside Range Rover, Discovery, and Jaguar. Defender OCTA Edition One — with a MSRP of $167,800 — features curated specifications for first year of production, with a new paint option and Chopped Carbon Fiber detailing. The 2025 Model Year Defender OCTA has a starting MSRP of $152,000.
