The seasons will soon be changing, so let’s stop for a sec and check out this gorgeous time-lapse of Denali National Park that photographer Taylor Gray put together. Spot wildlife, weather the storm and enjoy the northern lights swirling across the sky, all from the (dis)comfort of your office chair.

Martin Heck of Timestorm Films journeyed to the South Pole to bring us this time-lapse footage of the colorful, dancing lights of the Aurora Australis. With nighttime temperatures as below -70°C/-95°F, he needed special housings to ensure the cameras didn’t fail.

We are dreaming of baroque and orderly things, so naturally the bustling city of Salzburg is what comes to mind first. Good thing we can look at this sweet vid that pays homage to some of the finest parts of Austria – in miniature. (Thanks, Joerg!)

There is something about this time of year and the light in Italy. It is like no other, and Casper Rolsted captures it and much, much more in this beautifully edited time-lapse of the five small villages on the rugged Italian Riviera known as the Cinque Terre.

Filmed from hilltops, mountains, and high-rises, Chris Pritchard’s Above LA is a gorgeous four minute timelapse that gives a glimpse into the unseen beauty of the metropolis. It’s fun to watch the mesmerizing traffic instead of riding in it too.

The folks behind the Roadtrippers mobile app made this wonderful timelapse of the 41st Albuquerque International Balloon Festival. More than 500 hot-air balloons took off within one and a half hours. Watch in 4K if you can.

This time-lapse of Mark Crilley sketching a perfect copy of a crumpled piece of paper in what he refers to as a “realism challenge” is just amazing. Turns out he’s a pretty good graphic novelist too.
