Awesome The Killers

Musician Mac Glocky likes to record cover versions of songs as if different bands performed them. He recently dropped this gem, which imagines what The Killers’ track Mr. Brightside would sound like if System of a Down played it. We’re setting this as our new alarm sound. If this doesn’t wake us up, nothing will.

Dirk Verbeuren has been banging the drums since the 1990s, and is the current drummer for thrash metal band Megadeth. Unlike most of us, he had never heard The Killers’ 2004 hit Mr. Brightside before stopping by Drumeo’s studio. After giving a drumless version a listen, he broke it down, chopped it up, and performed his own take on the track’s rhythms.

With its rich storytelling and obvious Springsteen influences, The Killers’ Sam’s Town is one of the greatest albums of the 21st century. More than a decade later Brandon Flowers and Bruce Springsteen have teamed up with an amazing remake of the 2008 track A Dustland Fairytale from their subsequent album Day & Age.

Botnik Studios took The Killers’ track All These Things That I’ve Done, and reworked it using words found in commercials and YouTube reviews of Arby’s fast food. As random as it seems, it was 100% effective at convincing us we need the meats for lunch today.

An absolutely brilliant, deconstructed acoustic arrangement of The Killers’ 2006 hit Read My Mind, as performed by Van McCann of Welsh indie rock group Catfish & The Bottlemen. The stumbly bit just added to the charm.
