Screen Junkies imagines what a new Superman cartoon would be like if Zack Snyder and the brains behind the Man of Steel movie handled it as well. It could use a bit more nonsense, but the essence is already there.
Stan Lee doesn’t care for the flying ability of rival DC Comics’ Superman, and he’s here to tell you why. While we agree that there’s no physical sense behind his ability to fly, it’s not exactly like a radioactive spider bite would let you sling webs.
(NSFW: Language) Superman proposes that he and Batman team up. Batman proposes that Clark shove his proposal up his butt. We hate to say it, but the idiot is right. Hands down the most hilarious of Pete Holmes’ Badman sketches yet.
To honor the 75th anniversary of Superman, Bruce Timm and Zack Snyder made a 2-minute animated short film chronicling the evolution of The Man of Tomorrow. The short will also be included in the Man of Steel Blu-ray.
YouTuber Mr88668866 used clips from various superhero movies and the trailer for DC Universe Online to create a fan trailer for a bank-breaking blockbuster movie. Black Widow and her pistols look even more pitiful here.
With the return of the bland Henry Cavill as Superman and the potential disaster of Ben Affleck as Batman, perhaps the villain will be this movie’s savior. They should make an Iron Man vs. Lex Luthor movie instead.
After hearing that they might fight each other in their upcoming movie, Supes and Bats get into a debate about who would win. The film should just be an extended version of this cartoon. Either that or an extremely short film.
(SPOILERS) Man of Steel was a visual spectacle, but like so many superhero movies these days it has colossal plot holes and worse, an irresponsible Superman. We sincerely wish its writers had asked the folks at HISHE for advice.
Vsauce imagines what it would be like if the Man of Steel introduced his fist to your face. The hilarious conclusion? If he used all his strength, Supes couldn’t actually punch you: you’d be obliterated even before his fist touched you.
Talented illustrators Martin Ansin and Ken Taylor made two brilliant alternate movie posters for Zack Snyder’s Superman movie. Both posters will have alternate variants. Check them out in high-res on Mondo’s blog.
Patrick Willems parodies reality TV shows while reminding us of how ridiculous the world would be if superheroes – and supervillains – did exist. Except if you lived in Metropolis.
(Spoilers) If you’ve already decided that you’re going to see Man of Steel at the theater, skip this trailer. It’s that good. This is director Zack Snyder’s specialty on display: action-packed eye candy.
Mike Alcantara has made it even easier to collect his fun collage prints of Superman, Spiderman and other faves by creating an affordable digital collection of his original work.
Superman decides to teach a criminal a lesson he’ll never forget. Or recover from. If you think about it, the thug is pretty strong. We would’ve been atomized instantly.
The fearsome General Zod makes his demands known to his fellow Kryptonian, Kal-el: surrender or Earth is doomed. An alien invasion breaks out in Mass Effect 4 The Avengers 2 Man of Steel.
Ad studio Will & Tale presents their own take on the title sequence for Man of Steel. It summarizes Superman’s origin story, which makes it a bit redundant with the movie itself, but it’s still very well made.
Look, up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a guy with a vacuum cleaner! The title says it all, as this guy blows himself up inside of his inflatable Superman costume. His archenemy must be named Pinhead. Animated .gif here.
It seems that Kal-El is as antisocial as Clark Kent in Man of Steel. But when General Zod and his army threaten Earth, Supes is forced to come out of his shell. And uppercut some Kryptonian fools to the stratosphere.
Superman has been with us for 75 years, and he’s had a different look for almost every one of them. See 170 different Men of Steel in this massive infographic courtesy of SupermanHomepage.
While we won’t have to wait too long to see Man of Steel, those who prefer graphic novels will want to check out this May 7 digital release based on the Geoff Johns/Gary Frank classic Superman: Brainiac.
Featuring 12 fictional characters Supermanned by artist Mike Mitchell. Mitchell based his mashup on the cover art of Superman #6. Hopefully he’ll re-release prints of each illustration soon.
We’re sure hoping that Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot is as dark and epic as it looks from this dramatic trailer. One can only hope this is The Dark Knight of Superman. (Thanks Larry!)
