Battlefield developer DICE is working on a reboot of the epic Star Wars battle game, taking advantage of today’s tech to replicate the iconic characters, spaceships, weapons and settings of the films in greater detail than ever.

When asked by a fan if he’d do his cartoon Joker voice in a mock scene from The Empire Strikes Back, actor Mark Hamill was happy to oblige. Star Wars Episode VII: The Clown Prince of Crime. That’s a movie we’d pay to see.

Mario and Fafa are sick of trailers that show a movie’s best parts or give away too much of the story. To illustrate how bad today’s trailers can get, they made a modern trailer for Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Or not.

Michael Heilemann made a series of clips mashing up George Lucas’ sources of inspiration with the first Star Wars movie. He plans on publishing a book about his research. You can watch the clips separately or as one long video.

Like many of us, Bill Hader has been a huge fan of the Star Wars franchise since he was a kid, so it’s only natural that he wants something to do with the new J.J. Abrams flick. If nothing else, give him a voice gig on the new animated series.
