Over the past two years, engineer JT of Built IRL has been trying to figure out how to swing like Spider-Man. He eventually arrived at a compact web-shooter that uses compressed propane to fire cables, then realized he needed to wear several of them if he wanted to swing more than once. We love how he did his thesis on this.

As we’ve seen before, Ross The Random has a knack for turning bits of hardware into small works of art. In this video, he shows us how he took an old copper nozzle from a MIG welder and transformed it into a badass ring based on the visage of Spider-Man’s terrifying nemesis Carnage.

While playing around with the physics capabilities of 3D graphics software Blender, Atomic Marvel decided to test its ability to simulate hundreds of thousands of magnetic balls. And the recipient of said balls? None other than your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Now Magnetic Games needs to do this with real magnets.

Spider-Man fans will love this massive 3,772 piece LEGO kit that comes together to form the iconic Daily Bugle tower. After proving it’s feasible to create web-like fibers from liquid, Built IRL uses an off-the-shelf woven fiber to test the ability for it to work like Spider-Man’s webs. The main engineering feat is the multi grappling hook design he came up with. He first uses the web to take down a bad guy, then swings from it after tossing it over a bar.

In the world of Spider-Man, Dr. Otto Octavius (better known as Doc Ock) has been augmented with a set of mechanical tentacles he uses for nefarious purposes. JLaservideo teamed up with a few internet friends to design and build a working tentacle backpack, and then gave it mind-control capabilities.

Imagine for a moment that Tobey Maguire played Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith. That’s exactly what we have here, courtesy of the warped minds at Matan Animation Studios. Can’t get enough Darth Bully Maguire? He also stood in for Darth Maul in Duel of the Fates.

The stuff in Spider-Man’s web-shooters is strong enough to hold his body weight as he swings from building to building. While we wouldn’t trust hot glue to do the same, we still wouldn’t want to be a criminal on the business end of Joel Creates‘ web-slinger, which can even be worn while pulling off Spidey’s acrobatics.

The Hacksmith teamed up with maker JT of Built IRL to create a real world version of Spider-Man’s web shooters. The rig uses compressed air to fire custom-made grappling hooks from its wearer’s wrists. Swinging from them isn’t nearly as graceful Peter Parker made it look.

Premium toy maker Hot Toys is showing off a deluxe 1/6-scale collectible figure of Miles Morales as he appeared in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The figure features 30 points of articulation, two great face sculpts, interchangeable hands, a fitted Spider-Man suit, and some of Miles’ everyday clothes.

Inspired by his appearance in Spider-Man: Far From Home, toymaker Iron Studios‘ awesomely orange battle diorama features a 1:10-scale version of the gooey, yet terrifying Molten Man. It measures appx. 10.23″ tall, and is made from handpainted polystone. The only thing better would be if it doubled as a cigarette lighter.

Given the many permutations of Spider-Man out there, there’s it only stands to reason that a feline version is one of them.
