Awesome Sopranos

The long-awaited prequel to The Sopranos is almost here. It follows the rise of a young Tony Soprano under the wing of his uncle Dickie Moltisanti. James Gandolfini’s son Michael portrays Tony, surrounded by a killer cast, Sopranos’ creator David Chase, and director Alan Taylor. In theaters and on HBO Max 10.1.2021.

(PG-13: Language) Upper State’s darkly-comedic parody of The Sopranos imagines if the show was set in the Mushroom Kingdom instead of New Jersey. It’s so well executed, it could have been an actually episode of HBO’s hit drama. Actor Max Koch’s Gandolfini impression really helps sell it. (Thanks Ryan!)

While we miss Satriale’s, Pizzaland and 97 cent gasoline, we have to say that 8-Bit Bastard’s machinima recreation of the opening of the HBO classic The Sopranos using Grand Theft Auto V is still pretty solid. Comparison video here.
