Sean Penn stars in what is apparently the first action movie in the 54-year old’s career. Incidentally, The Gunman is directed by Pierre Morel, who also helmed Taken. Also starring Idris Elba and Javier Bardem.

Brad Pitt and Sean Penn star as father and son – their stories told decades apart, as Penn struggles with what led him to his present world. Terence Malick’s existential drama hits sometime in 2011.
