The Mandalorian revolutionized the way visual effects are made with the use of a gigantic video wall and CG backgrounds created by Unreal Engine. Since then, the tech has found its way into smaller productions. This video from Live Production Mastery shows how such a wall comes together from 560 LED panels to create a virtual production space.

Performance gaming accessory maker Finalmouse is teasing a visually stunning keyboard. The Centerpiece has a screen behind its see-through keys, and can display interactive skins which change with each keypress. It has custom Gateron mechanical switches and an on-board CPU/GPU. Drops in early 2023 for $349.

If you’ve ever wondered how they make the wire mesh material used in screens for doors and windows, wonder no longer. This video from Hebei Kaiye Machinery Equipment Co. shows us how a computer-controlled machine takes thousands of strands of stainless steel wire and weaves them into a screen pattern.

Hitch Theater’s portable movie screen and projector stand transforms any pickup truck into a pop-up drive-in movie theater. You’ll need your own projector, video source, and power, and their Kickstarter goal is too high, but it’s still a nifty idea.
