Vincross’ Hexa is a six-legged robot that can tackle all sorts of terrain. It comes with a remote control app which can stream video from its camera, play various games and download apps that will be made by the community using its development kit.

Mere mortals can’t own a P1, but at least your kid can get a little closer to McLaren’s supercar. This officially licensed ride on car can also be operated with a remote control. It has kickass vertical doors, LED lights, a fan, and even an MP3 player.

We’ve seen footage of drivers racing real cars around those insane sideways “wall of death” tracks in India, but this enterprising YouTuber figured out that you can replicate the same effect at home, using an inexpensive RC car, and a plastic washtub.

Pilot Christian Gschwenter’s amazing remote-controlled scale model looks and flies just like a real F-16 Cobra fighter jet. While its engine doesn’t have a real afterburner, it’s got a ring of LED lighting out back to simulate flame, and even can make smoke trails.

Josh and Josh of FliteTest check out an incredible build from fans at Flite Fest West ’17 – a gigantic version of their Super Bee plane, packing 10 engines. It took some trial and error, but the behemoth eventually got airborne. The plane takes flight at 3:09.

Maker Roberto Correia shows off a neat build – a remote-controlled model tank which was built primarily from 3D-printed parts. He later added a moving gripper arm to its top. It’s based on a design by TimmiClark over on Thingiverse if you want to make your own.

Traxxas’ new RC monster truck goes “only” up to 50mph, but you’ll be too busy pulling off drifts, jumps and wheelies to care. The X-Maxx has 8″ tires, a 1275kv brushless motor, oil-filled aluminum shocks and a convenient modular chassis.

SRS-RC shares footage of some amazing model trucks and construction equipment being driven and performing tasks during Modellbau Wels 2017, a festival which celebrates model vehicles and aircraft of all kinds. We’d love to see that Bucyrus crane being driven around in action.

Gnarly Racers are 1:38 scale remote-controlled cars that are equipped with front-mounted cameras for first-person racing. They go up to 20mph, last over 15min per charge, have a range of over 250ft and come with a headset and a removable monitor.

This scale model of an EC-135 ADAC Notarzt Christoph 33 helicopter is so ridiculously huge that it might as well be the real thing. It weighs in at about 108 pounds, has an 11.5 foot rotor diameter, and gets its lift from a turbine engine. Skip to 3:45 to watch it take off.

Traxxas gave The Slow Mo Guys its award-winning XO-1, a remote-controlled car that goes 100mph out of the box. Gav and Dan did what the folks who actually bought the $800 non-toy would never do: give it a thorough wrecking.

This massive remote-controlled aircraft based on the Airbus A-320 jumbo jet was built by Airstage.de. The airplane-shaped dirigible has a 15.7 foot wingspan, but weighs less than a pound. It might officially be an airplane, but it’s still incredible.

Reach Robotics’ MekaMon is a modular spider-like robot that you control via a mobile app. The robot is agile and has an animated and endearing way of moving and acting. You can play solo in augmented reality mode or fight another MekaMon player.

One-man toy studio Michael Sng aka Machination Studios is ready to sell his first collectible. Like the Colossus prototype, the Mk. 1 Cyclops is a remote-controlled mobile fortress inspired by World War I technology. You can get it as a DIY kit or fully assembled.

One-man LEGO Technic factory Sariel tops himself yet again with this badass model of the A39 Tortoise, a British World War II heavy assault tank prototype. Its drivetrain, cannon, turret and machine gun are controlled with a DualShock 4 via two SBricks.

LEGO enthusiast Sariel’s latest remote-controlled creation is based on the Dakar rally configuration of the Tatra T815 truck. The 12″ toy has a double wishbone suspension in front, a live axle at the rear and has a top speed of 7mph.

Flybrix is an easy-to-assemble kit that uses LEGO bricks for its non-electronic parts. One kit contains enough parts to let you build a quadcopter, a hexacopter, or an octocopter. Of course, you can also modify it using the LEGO pieces that you already have.

LEGO master Sariel made this badass model of the Defender 90. It moves like a turtle even in fourth gear, but yeah, it has a fourth gear. It also has 4×4 drive, a working winch, locking differentials, and can be controlled from up to 160ft away thanks to the SBrick module.

We love BattleBots, but we don’t all have the skills and resources for that. GJS’ Ganker is a promising alternative. It’s a highly mobile and articulated robot with customizable weapons and armor and sensors to detect hits and keep score.

Licensed quadcopters based on the 74-Z speeder bike, the Millennium Falcon, the T-65 X-Wing and the TIE Advanced X1. Each quad is equipped with lasers and will have a game mode where three hits with a laser will make the quad land. More here.

LEGO designer Jason Allemann is working on a remote-controlled monowheel. Initially a proof-of-concept for a LEGO BB-8, Jason is using a pair of Power Functions motors and a counterweight to propel and steer the toy.
