LEGO enthusiast Lachlan Cameron designed and built a remote-controlled Technic scale model of Ken Block’s Ford Mustang Hoonicorn. The all-wheel drive toy has working steering and suspension, doors and a hood that open, and lights.

PowerUp’s R/C paper airplane kit lets you perform tricks. Use the Dart’s app to do a barrel roll, a loop, an Immelman turn and more. The motor can propel paper planes up to 25mph, and you can even attach landing gear. Save $10 in The Awesomer Shop.

We’ve seen some amazing remote-controlled vehicles before, but never ones this teensy. Monsterchannel24 shared footage of these 1/87th-scale trucks, excavators, cranes, and other micro machines in action at Germany’s Faszination Modellbau.

Destroyer of things Daved Windestal built a totally insane RC car. By attaching a powerful model rocket engine to the middle of a HobbyKing Desert Fox racer, it’s able to jump over obstacles without a ramp. Perhaps a parachute would be a good addition next time.

One of the craziest RC scale airplane setups we’ve ever seen. On the bottom is a model of the Antonov AN-225 super-jumbo jet, and on its back is the Buran – the Soviet knock-off version of NASA’s Space Shuttle. Once it takes flight, the shuttle can decouple and land on its own.

RC Media World presents footage of a remote-controlled airplane replica, based on Howard Hughes’ 8-engine H-4 Hercules aka “Spruce Goose.” Builder Jürgen Schönle’s surprisingly quiet flyer has a 12-foot wingspan, and can take off and land on water, just like the real deal.

An awesome R/C recreation of the 1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT. This picture-perfect 20.57″ long replica of the off-roader is built on Traxxas‘ impressive TRX-4 4×4 chassis, with huge suspension travel, portal axles, and massive trail-rated tires. We love the sunset decals.

LEGO enthusiast Sariel modified the LEGO BB-8 kit to make it move via remote control. It doesn’t roll exactly like the droid does, but it’s still a cool mod. Sariel used SBrick and Power Functions parts to make the mod. You can download the instructions on his website.

LEGO master Sariel believes Santa Claus knows about climate change. So he made St. Nick an amphibious sleigh with the help of a thematic part – LEGO Christmas baubles. They’re not completely airtight, but they work well enough as wheels both on ground and in water.

GJS Co’s follow up to Ganker. Like it’s predecessor, the GEIO is a combat robot that’s controlled via a mobile app. But it has sensors that enable first person view, auto-targeting and augmented reality features. It also has conquest, scavenger hunt and race modes.

The latest mobile fortress from Michael Sng’s one-of-a-kind dieselpunk toy line. The Schnauzer Armoured Walker is one of the imperial German machines in the Codename Colossus universe. It stands 8.5″ tall and is painted and weathered by hand.

This amazing remote-controlled model plane was a dead ringer for an Airbus A330-300 jetliner, and it looked absolutely fantastic flying about for the first 3+ minutes of this video. Sadly, something went horribly wrong right before landing, and the plane is no more.

Traxxas‘ trail-conquering RC car is just as tough and versatile as the vehicle that inspired it. The TRX-4 has an officially-licensed Land Rover Defender body, steel links and U-joints, remote locking differentials and Traxxas’ unique Portal axle.

By strapping a turbine powered delta wing R/C plane to a catapult, these guys were able to fly a model aircraft at speeds up to 451 mph, making it nearly as fast as a full-size jet plane. We’re impressed that the pilot was able to control and land it.

This isn’t the first time we’ve encountered a huge R/C helicopter, but watching these mechanical marvels fly around never gets old, so here’s another for your enjoyment. Pilot Francis Paduwat shows off his 1/4-scale, 90″ long EC-120 from Vario Helicopter.

Builder Ivan Miranda shows off a unique remote-controlled vehicle he 3D printed that steers entirely by adjusting the direction of its thrust. The field test video demonstrates it’s lack of controllability, but we’re betting it would be fun on a frozen lake or skating rink.

An all-terrain, modular, open source remote-controlled exploration vehicle inspired by NASA’s rovers. The Turtle Rover has waterproof modules, a 2MP camera with a wide angle lens, and a robot arm. It has a universal mount so you can add an airsoft gun, a flashlight, etc.
