Our latest look at the post-apocalyptic Tomb Raider-meets-Monster Hunter action RPG for PS4 reveals that its writing is utter trash. But the visuals are as enticing as ever and the gameplay appears to have just the right mix of challenge and empowerment.

The long-awaited spiritual successor to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus is almost here. The Last Guardian is about the unlikely bond between a boy and Trico, a gigantic creature who will definitely not die. No sir. Nope. This should come with a box of tissues. Drops 10/25/16.

A stunning platform puzzle game headed to PS4, in which a woman traverses the memories of her childhood through environments filled with abstract and metaphorical imagery. The last time we saw a game this intriguing was Journey, also from Sony’s Santa Monica Studio.

Sony enlisted the talented crew at Insomniac Games (Ratchet & Clank, Resistance) to create what looks like it could be the most epic Spider-Man game ever, with massive urban environments, crazy web-slinging and gymnastics, and eye-popping visuals.

Sony presents a PS4-ready alternative to the Oculus Rift. The launch bundle includes an HD OLED headset, with built in motion sensors, 3D audio, a pair of Move controllers, a Playstation Camera, and VR Worlds. Pre-orders start 7am PDT 3/22/16, and start to ship this October.

PlayStation forces a pair of nostalgia goggles on you in this sappy but cool commercial for the upcoming fps Star Wars: Battlefront and the limited edition Star Wars PlayStation 4 bundles. We like the “Not actual gameplay” disclaimer.

PlayStation pats itself on the back for its 20th anniversary in North America. The video looks at the console giant’s past, present and future, though they glossed over the sorry states of the PSP and PS Vita. Watch them unbox a sealed original PlayStation here.

The limited edition Star Wars PS4 console has the image of Darth Vader and the Star Wars logo printed all over the top, and the controller’s colors are based on Vader’s chest plate. Comes with SW: Battlefront or Disney Infinity.

The Data Bank lets you replace the PS4’s 2.5″ hard drive with faster and higher capacity 3.5″ drives. Note that the PS4 won’t always work with drives larger than 2TB. A Data Bank for the Xbox One is on the way.

Console modder Ed Zarick is now accepting orders for his Xbox One and PS4 combo laptop case mod. The PlayBox 4 One Mk. II has a 24″ 1080p Vizio display that has a remote control and apps like Netflix. The HDMI out is optional.

A new experience from MediaMolecule, creators of LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway, Dreams is a creative sandbox for expressing and sharing dreamlike worlds. While it’s definitely not a conventional game, the visuals looks incredible.

After a false start on the PS3 follow up to Shadow of the Colossus is coming to the PS4. The Last Guardian has players guide a young boy and his companion – a giant, winged creature to solve puzzles and negotiate treacherous environments.

A Sonic the Hedgehog style platformer coming to PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, in which action figures run, jump and butt-slide through complicated courses made of toys and other everyday objects. It’s already available for PC and Mac on Steam.

The quirky PS4 co-op adventure just went mathematical, with the Adventure Time Level Kit – loaded with new materials, objects, decorations, stickers, a Land of Ooo background, and character costumes from the beloved animated series.

The Mini Emu is a small plug-and-play computer that can run digital copies of classic video games. It uses open source software to run games from over 40 consoles, from the Atari 800 to the PlayStation. It’s also a media player.

The latest prototype of Sony’s PS4 virtual reality headset has a 5.7″ 1080p RGB OLED, can refresh at 120Hz, and is lighter than the previous model. It also has better head tracking. The production version will be released in 2016. More here.

Console modder Ed Zarick managed to cram in the guts of both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 in one unit, along with a 22″ LCD. It uses just one power plug, though you can’t have both consoles on at once. More on Technabob.

Insert Coin Clothing has officially licensed 20th anniversary PlayStation unisex apparel. Both the varsity jacket and the basketball jersey bear the console’s color, the four-color logo and the number 20.

PlayStation Now is a subscription service that lets you play PlayStation games on the PS4, PS3, PS Vita, PS TV and soon Sony TVs via online streaming. Choose from over 100 PS3 games, with more coming soon. $20/mo or $45/3mo.

The PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition bears the dull gray color and the four-color logo of the original PlayStation and is etched with the PS button icons. The edition is limited to only 12,300 units. Available 12/6/14 in US & Canada.
