Joerg Sprave shows off a deadly air powered gun that’s capable of launching a 1/4 lb arrow at up to 250 mph, easily piercing through armor. Shockingly, its arrow-over-the-barrel design would allow it to be classified as a “toy” in Germany. Perhaps they need to rethink that.

The always resourceful MrGear shows us how to transform a pencil, a matchstick, a 9-volt battery, and a few other bits and bobs into a tiny weapon, capable of firing a nasty little dart. It’s probably not deadly, but it sure could cause injury, so be careful if you try this at home.

Mark Rober teamed up with Eclectical Engineering to create this awesomely unwieldy weapon which fires huge foam darts, made from pool noodles and toilet plungers. Thanks to compressed air, it can fire darts at speeds up to 40 mph. Check out the gunpowder upgrade.

LEGO enthusiast Nick Brick made an incredible life-size version of the M41 SPNKR, the classic rocket launcher from the Halo series. It’s 50.5″ long, weighs 24lb and is made of about 6,000 LEGO pieces. Its double barrel unit is detachable, just like in the games.

Elastic Precision offers handmade rubber band guns based on real firearms. The Walther PPK can be loaded with up to 5 rubber bands, the Model 1911 with up to 6 rubber bands and the MP5 with up to 24 rubber bands.

YouTuber MyDifferentUserName made a badass life-size version of the KRM-262, the default and the most powerful shotgun in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. It has a foldable stock, a pumping handgrip and a barrel that opens to accommodate a LEGO shell.

YouTuber Rulof Maker made a simple compressed air pistol primarily out of discarded objects. The main components are the valve from an empty fire extinguisher and some dry ice. He made the pistol’s body out of wood to give it a steampunk vibe.

Gun enthusiast Jerry Miculek couldn’t get their hands on actual vibranium, but they did manage to make a life-size version of Captain America’s shield out of titanium. Watch Jerry shoot the shield with .45 ACPs in slow motion.

YouTuber ZaziNombies made a life-size LEGO replica of one of the first ridiculously overpowered video game weapons, the BFG 9000 from the Doom and Quake series. The replica is made of over 5,000 LEGO pieces, is around 3ft. long and weighs over 20lb.

LEGO weaponsmith ZaziNombies made a life-size replica of Locus, the powerful sniper rifle in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. The toy is made of around 2,000 LEGO pieces, weighs 8lb and is nearly 4ft long. It even has a moving bolt and a detachable magazine.

YouTuber MattV2099 glued nails into shotgun shells, then fired them at close range using a Arsenal SGL41 Saiga 410 – a Russian AK-style shotgun. It’s not a practical way to nail things together, but it’s certainly one of the most dangerous ideas we’ve ever seen.

YouTuber Demolition Ranch tests a ballistic mask. Specifically, one that provides level 2 protection, i.e. it should stop most pistol bullets and provide a bit of protection from blunt force trauma. No, he didn’t test the mask while he was wearing it.

The NERF Rival Zeus’ magazine normally holds 12 balls, but YouTuber Out of Darts made it so his Zeus could hold up to 108 balls. He made a custom magazine that has a blower to push the balls. He’s also working on a backpack loader that can hold thousands of the ammo.

Julien’s is auctioning off the Colt AR15 rifle and M203 grenade launcher props that Tony Montana used in Scarface. The launcher was handmade for Brian De Palma’s film, but it was reused in Predator as part of Dutch’s gun. So it’s Schwarzenegger’s little friend too.

While filming the latest episode of Mythbusters, Adam and Jamie’s Phantom high-speed camera grabbed this jaw-dropping footage of a pistol being shot, capturing the bullet-sized explosion at an astounding 73,000 frames per second.

NERF’s new Rival blasters are built for team combat. The Apollo is spring-loaded and carries up to seven rounds while the Zeus has an electric motor and carries up to 12 rounds. Both use dimpled foam balls and come in blue or red.
