Awesome Gilligan’s Island

We already know that the theme song from Gilligan’s Island can be transformed into Stairway to Heaven. Turns out the trick works with other songs too. Cherokee Phil shows off more than 30 songs which can be sung to the tune of the Gilligan’s Island theme or vice versa, though the latter isn’t quite as effective.

Back in 1978, Little Roger and the Goosebumps figured out that the lyrics to the theme from Gilligan’s Island lined up perfectly with Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven. While we loved the novelty of the classic mashup, Puddles Pity Party really ramped up the vocals and theatricality. Oh, and on a related note…

A wonderfully weird 1983 episode of Family Feud in which the reunited cast members of Gilligan’s Island took on the reunited cast of Batman for charity. Is it just us, or did all the actors on Gilligan’s Island just play themselves?
