Awesome Fps
Porsche 911 Plays DOOM
Vexal shows off a ridiculous mod he performed on his Porsche which he claims allows him not only to play the classic FPS DOOM on its screen, but to control the game using the car’s steering wheel, horn, gear shifter, and accelerator. Sure, it’s fake, but it’s still hilarious.
Conan Plays Battlefield 1
(Gore) “[It’s] the most beautiful thing you have ever seen. And you have a son.” Conan O’Brien and pal Terry Crews were alternately depressed and awed by the single player campaign of WW 1 fps Battlefield 1. RIP Tree.
The Last of Us Part Two (Trailer)
Ellie channels Beth from The Walking Dead with a little song in the reveal trailer for the sequel to Naughty Dog’s awesome survival third-person shooter. It’s a cinematic trailer, but knowing its creators, the game is likely to look just as good.
Mass Effect: Andromeda (Gameplay)
A look at the gameplay and stunningly crisp 4K visuals of the upcoming action/RPG which sends you on a mission to find a new home for humanity in a previously uncharted galaxy. Hits PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, and Xbox One in Spring 2017.
80 Ways to Kill Jindosh
(SPOILERS, Gore) These days, a lot of games claim to offer replayability and the freedom to choose how you’ll solve their challenges. But as YouTuber Cosmic Contarian shows in this silly video, Dishonored 2 more than lives up to that promise. Jindosh! I’ve come to bargain.
Overwatch: Infiltration
Dishonored 2 (Gameplay 2)
A look at Dishonored 2‘s themed missions. These are quests where you still have a target within a fortified level, but there are mechanics or level designs specific to a mission that enrich and expand your playthrough, such as a time-traveling device or a transforming house.
Battlefield 1: War Pigeons
(SPOILERS) If you’re sold on Battlefield 1, skip this video. In multiplayer, there’s a capture the flag-like mode where you have to find, hide, and then send a messenger pigeon. And in single player… well, see for yourself.
Battlefield 1 (Gameplay)
(SPOILERS, Gore) “We are the honorable and the criminal. We are the bound for legend, and the lost in history.” A look at the single player prologue of Battlefield 1. It’s not perfect, but it’s a good example of using a video game mechanic as a narrative agent.
Space Hulk: Deathwing (Gameplay)
An upcoming FPS RPG based on the hit board game Space Hulk. You are a Space Marine Terminator – heavily armed but barely mobile – fighting against a horde of aliens in the cramped halls of an ancient spaceship. It also has a co-op mode for up to 4 players.
Star Wars: Battlefront: Death Star
The upcoming Death Star expansion pack for Star Wars: Battlefront adds Bossk and Chewbacca as heroes, as well as new maps, weapons, and a game mode where you fight around and inside the Empire’s space station – trench run included.
Resident Evil 7 (Trailer)
(PG-13) Resident Evil 7 might as well be a new series. It’s in first-person and VR-ready, it’s set in Louisiana, features a normal citizen as your character, and it abandons the campy horror for a more realistic tale. Drops 1/24/17 for Windows, Xbox One and PS4.
Battlezone (Gameplay)
An in-depth look at one of the PlayStation VR’s launch titles. Battlezone takes inspiration from Atari’s classic 1980 arcade tank combat game, but in a dramatically more colorful and complex environment, with many more weapon choices and strategic elements.
Titanfall 2: Meet the Titans
Titanfall 2 introduces not one, not two, but six new mechs. There’s the control-based Legion and Scorch, the fast and accurate Tone and Northstar, the versatile Ion and the melee specialist Ronin.
Overwatch: The Last Bastion
Battlefield 1 (Trailer 2)
(Gore) Our latest look at EA’s World War I shooter showcases cinematics and gameplay footage from the Sinai Peninsula portion of its single player campaign. We’d call bull on the graphics, but Star Wars: Battlefront already proved us wrong. Open beta starts 8/31/16.
Quake Champions
After DOOM’s impressive return, the twitchiest of first-person shooters will try and make a comeback. The Windows-exclusive Quake Champions promises an unlocked frame rate, tournament support from Bethesda and the introduction of character classes.
Prey (Gameplay)
Our first look at the reboot of one of the most innovative FPSes ever made – it’s still unclear if the new version of Prey will let you climb on the walls and ceilings like the original, but your character is said to have “special abilities,” and most definitely will make you wet your pants.
CoD 4: Modern Warfare Remastered
The series-defining game ported to Xbox One, PS4 and Windows. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered has the riveting campaign plus 10 multiplayer maps with updated graphics. It’s bundled with the CoD: Infinite Warfare Legacy, Legacy Pro and Digital Deluxe editions.
System Shock Remake
Nightdive Studios’ total overhaul of the genre-defining first person sci-fi action RPG. The new System Shock has all new graphics and music and updated interface, mechanics and more. Coming to Windows, Mac, Linux and Xbox One. Demo here.
Titanfall 2 (Gameplay)
The fast-paced and mech-infused shooter returns with more distinct weapons and Titans, as well as new game modes and tools such as a grappling hook. Developer Respawn also promises that all of Titanfall 2‘s functional DLC – e.g. maps and game modes – will be free.
Prey (Trailer)
Bethesda reboots the trippy (and system killing) Xbox 360 shooter as a mission-based exploration shooter – in the vein of games like Dishonored. There’s no word on whether the psychological thriller will let you walk on walls or the ceilings like the original. We hope it does.
