Un Stable
Team Xhover pilot Kevin Dougherty aka StingersSwarm shows off his ace flying skills by zigging and zagging his quadcopter through a livery stable. We’d love to see quadcopter racers recreate the Battle of Yavin.

In a quest to create his own backyard flying machine, one man built a crazy rig which uses a matrix of 54 drone-style rotors to lift him off the ground. As one YouTube commenter put it: “I believe we have something like this already. It’s called a helicopter.”
By duct-taping a Superman action figure to his Phantom 3 drone, photographer Barry Craig turned what would normally be a pretty typical bit of aerial footage into something much more. You’ll believe a man can fly!
Daredevil Felix Baumgartner’s latest stunt has him behind the controls of an aerobatic helicopter, hovering dangerously close to drift racer Jakub Przygoński and his 1000hp Toyota GT 86, playing a game of vehicular cat and mouse.
Cool footage of a Polish Air Force MiG-29 fighter jet as it lifts off from a runway, then proceeds to go straight up into the air. We can only imagine what it must be like to be in the cockpit of this impromptu rocket ship.
This KLM jumbo jet had to contend with strong crosswinds while landing at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. It looks funny now, like a gigantic drunk bird, but we bet the passengers and flight crew had a different opinion.
While flying his quadcopter, Stephen Coyle spied a group of kids escaping through their school’s rooftops. The runts spotted his UAV and tried to hide from it. But when they ran into Stephen they asked him to post the video on YouTube.
Well here’s something you don’t see every day. In order to save a cow stuck at the top of a mountain with a bad hoof, a crew lifted the animal out via helicopter. We love how the cow is so nonchalant. Like, hey, this is a pretty cool view, man.
The Icon A5 has been popping up in prototype form for years. The compact, amphibious plane is finally headed to customers this summer. This promo features breathtaking footage of people enjoying this flying plaything for millionaires.
The Blue Angels did a fly-by during a recent airshow at Pensacola Beach, Florida, and gave spectators more than they bargained for, sending tents, umbrellas and anything that wasn’t tied down into the air.
As a promo stunt for the upcoming Peanuts movie, Otto Dieffenbach – the guy who made us believe a man could fly – created this impressive R/C flyer that looks just like Snoopy as he takes on the Red Baron from the roof of his doghouse.
Amazing footage of an F-35 Lightning II fighter jet as it takes off from an insanely short runway that works like a ski jump to angle the plane into the air. Stick around, and you’ll be treated to a vertical landing too.
We’ve seen wingsuit flights through narrow gaps, but none narrower than this one. Uli Emanuele successfully zipped through a hole that’s just over 6ft. wide between two rock formations. Even fellow BASE jumpers knew it was madness.
Aerial athlete Roberta Mancino jumps from a helicopter over Panama City at night donning a special wingsuit loaded with white LEDs, making the flyer herself as much of a spectacle as the view beneath her.
NASA’s experimental Greased Lightning GL-10 is one of the coolest drone designs we’ve seen. The unmanned vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) craft is propelled by 10 engines, and has a giant wing that rotates in flight to propel it forward.
Red Bull Air Race pilots Paul Bonhomme and Steve Jones pulled one of the most epic feats of flying skill ever, as the two flew their stunt planes side-by-side through a hangar just 24 feet high, their wheels just 3 feet from the ground.
A stunt pilot takes his 4-year-old daughter Léa along for her first ever aerobatic flight. We love how her mood goes from non-plussed on take-off to pure elation as the plane flips and rolls, and at no point does she seem afraid at all.
Parrot’s new MiniDrones include an aerial toy with a hydrofoil attachment, two new jumping and rolling toys and two other aerial toys. All but one of them will support live video streaming to the mobile R/C app. More here.
Awe-inspiring footage captured from the F-18 fighter jet cockpits of The Pukin Dogs of U.S. Navy Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-143 as they skim along close to the ground, mountain tops and water, pulling dizzying rolls along the way.
Fly to up to 14 miles in altitude, and see the Earth’s curvature on MiGFlug’s unique 50-minute tour. You’ll ride in the company’s MiG-29 Fulcrum jet and experience air speeds of up to Mach 2 (~1520mph).
From the makers of the B car quadcopter comes a flying all-terrain toy. The B-Unstoppable has separate coreless DC motors for its rotors and its caterpillar tracks. It comes with a 2.4Ghz transmitter and lasts around 9-18min per charge.
While it doesn’t really work like the hoverboards in Back to the Future II, we’re still impressed by Alexandru Duru’s record-breaking flight, during which he stayed airborne on his hovering platform above the water for more than 900 feet.
XDubai confirms its teaser: we now have multiple Jetmen. Watch the original Jetman Yves Rossy flying over Dubai with his protégé, skydiving and BASE jumping expert Vincent Reffet. We can’t wait to see their next film.
