Jet World Masters
Jet World Masters is a competition where builders show off detailed scale jet models. The planes look amazing up close, but they really shine when they fly. The 2013 show is over, so you’ll have to wait til next year to attend.

YouTuber golfcharlie232 pieced together several videos to simulate the standard procedure for firing up a Boeing 737 airliner. Needless to say, it involves fiddling with dozens of cryptic switches, knobs, buttons and more.
Eddie Codel mounted a GoPro HD Hero3 and an Arris CM2000 gimbal on his DJI Phantom Quadcopter to take videos of this year’s Burning Man festival. The background music is by Fingers in the Noise. We’d love a nighttime version now.
Ever wanted to travel to the Alps, but didn’t have the time or money to take the journey? Well sit back for the next 22 minutes and enjoy a 7.5 mile flight to an altitude of over 7,000 feet in a 3-foot-wide Microdrones MD4-1000 UAV.
Hex is just like a tiny RC car, except it flies. It’s cheap, it’s easy to control and it’s easy to customize. It uses 3D printed shells with different shapes, sizes and number of propellers. It can also be fitted with a camera.
Red Bull’s stunt flying team takes to the skies at the UK’s Sunderland Airshow, and gives us a dizzying eagle’s eye view from the inside the cockpits and along the wings of their single-engine flying machines.

For July 4th, the guys from Louisiana Hog Control sent their RC plane into the air and shot fireworks at it, providing a unique POV on the pyrotechnics as they whiz by the wings of the flyer. We want bigger fireworks next time.

Tragic footage of a gorgeous R/C airplane smacking into an R/C helicopter at the Santa Clara County Model Aircraft Sky Park. Proof positive that the U.S. government sequester shouldn’t have cut back on air traffic controllers.
