Backyard engineer Geng Ge loves to make things out of parts he finds in the trash. Using a mix of junk and new parts, he built himself a bubble-shaped electric car that can maneuver in tight places. It features a curvy, stainless steel shell, wheels that can turn in any direction, a backup camera, and a 32″ TV for navigation.

This unique folding scooter features a flexible frame and suspension system that can lean up to 40 degrees. Its dual front wheels and springs provide stability and absorb shocks, while its hydraulic disc brakes stop with confidence. The 250-watt EU version tops out at 22 mph, while the 500-watt US version can hit 25 mph.

Dodge previews its electric future, and they’re not backing down from making muscle cars. The 2-door Charger Daytona SRT has an 800-volt Banshee propulsion system, all-wheel drive, a multi-speed transmission, and a growly, emissions-free exhaust note made by pushing air through chamber and amplifying it.

This Class III E-Bike is ideal for rides to work, running errands, and speedy cruising. Its 500W rear motor can hit 28 mph and offers pedal-assist and throttle modes. A wide seat, fat tires, and front fork suspension provide a comfortable and stable ride. Its battery pack is removable for charging and juices up in 3 to 4 hours.

After Polestar revealed the O₂ roadster concept, the EV maker has decided to put the car into production for 2026. Its dual motors will crank out 884hp, a 0-to-60 time of 3.1 sec, a top speed of 155 mph, and a 300+ mile range. Polestar is accepting reservations now for the $200,000 Polestar 6 LA Concept, a 500-unit limited edition.

The fiberglass Meyers Manx is THE classic dune buggy. The original was powered by a VW Beetle engine. The Manx 2.0 rocks a modern electric drivetrain. It will come in a 20kWh and 40kWh versions with 150 and 300 miles of range, respectively. The 40kWh model makes 202 hp and 240 lb-ft. of torque and zips from 0-to-60 in 4.5 sec.

The 1 is a bespoke electric motorcycle. Built from the ground up – and looking like nothing that’s come before – the visionary design is a revolutionary direction for the legacy Curtiss Motorcycle Company. The short fil The Opposite of Death documents the $83,333+ dream machine’s birth, giving us lots to drool over.

The motors used in electric-powered bicycles are usually pretty heavy. Engineer Tom Stanton wanted to see if it would be possible to rig up a tiny but strong 1kW motor from a drone to propel a bike. The trick was creating a series of gears and belts to reduce the motor’s high rotational speed while increasing its torque.

Hyundai’s N performance division looks to the past for its future. Premiering alongside its RN22e concept, the N Vision 74 has a wedge-shape reminiscent of Giugiaro’s BMW M1 Procar and Hyundai Pony Coupe. It’s powered by a hydrogen-electric drivetrain that sends 670+hp to the rear wheels. We want one right now.

The climb to the top of the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the world’s most famous time trials. At the 2022 hill climb, a tiny experimental EV called the McMurtry Spéirling set a record of 39.08 seconds, in part due to the car’s innovative design, which uses fans to generate massive amounts of downforce.

Over the years, Ford Europe has created race-equipped vans to promote their production models. For 2022, they created this modified E-Transit Custom van with four electric motors and 1973 hp. It does 0 to 62 mph in under 2 seconds, and has modes for road, track, drift, rally, and drag racing. This video offers an in-depth look.

Developed by the makers of the GolfBoard, this personal mobility device is designed for getting around large resorts, campgrounds, and other places with a lot of ground to cover. Riding on all-terrain tires with undercarriage protection, it can ride on- or off-road. It runs up to 15 miles per charge on-road, and 12.5 miles off.

Vanderhall Motor Works is working on a Jeep-like pure-electric ATV. It has four motors, rides on 35″ tires and 18″ wheels, and has a crazy 22″ of suspension travel. The base model makes 303 hp and 360 lb-ft of torque, while the top-of-the-line GTS makes 404 hp and 480 lb-ft. of torque. Sadly, it’s not street legal. (Thanks, Craig!)

Honbike’s electric bike uses a shaft to drive its rear axle, reducing maintenance. It folds down in seconds and its detachable battery pack can be charged anywhere. It’s also got a gyroscopic sensor that can detect hills and adjust torque based on the terrain. It has a top speed of 15.5 mph and an electric range of 24.9 miles.

More than 40 years after the original DMC-12 began production, DeLorean is back with its vision for the future. The sleek and aerodynamic Alpha 5 will have a pure-electric drivetrain, with a 300+ mile range, an estimated 0-to-60 time of 2.99 sec, and a 0-to-88 time of 4.35 sec, though there’s no guarantee of time travel at that speed.

Electric scooters usually have tiny wheels, which makes them agile but not exactly grippy. The Q’s oversize scooter has a bit more contact patch thanks to its Formula One wheels, wrapped in slick Pirelli P-Zero tires. It’s powered by a 25kw brushless electric motor and has a battery pack under its riding deck.

Segway’s GT electric scooters are built for speed. The 6000-watt GT2 zooms from 0-to-30 mph in 3.9 sec with a top speed of 43.5 mph. Both the GT1 and GT2 roll on 11-inch pneumatic tires, with front and rear suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, and an extra-wide footboard. The add-on Segway Engine speaker simulates engine sounds.

Their custom-made micro bike is powered by an electric motor with body made from an ammo can that can still hold ammunition.

The EINS is a sleek Chromoly BMX bike with an electric drivetrain. Its powerful 250-watt mid-drive motor is like those found on electric mountain bikes, offering speeds up to 28mph and up to 70 lb-ft. of torque. Its rechargeable battery pack provides up to 31 miles of electric range and hides inside its saddle for external charging.

The VW bus is back, only this time it’s an EV. The compact, 5-passenger ID. Buzz will have a 150kW motor and a 77 kWh battery, charging from 5% to 80% in 30 minutes. It offers car-like aerodynamics and will come in a cargo version as well. Coming to Europe in fall 2022 and the US in 2023 with a 3-row option.
