With the help of a flying drone, Dave Anderson of Capt. Dave’s Dolphin and Whale Safari captured this incredible footage of thousands of common dolphins stampeding off of Dana Point, California. He also snooped on some humpback whales.
From the looks of this clip, we’re guessing these black finless porpoises started to pass around an underwater bubble by being enticed with lots of delicious fish treats. Now they do it on porpoise. There, we said it.
We’re not quite sure what these dolphins think of the girl performing gymnastics in front of their aquarium tank, but one of them seems to be sufficiently amused to break off from its school and take in the free show.
Explorer Mike Horn and Photographer Chase Jarvis were off the coast of South Africa when a “super-pod” of about 2000 dolphins started to follow their boat, leaving a lasting impression in their wake.
