Awesome Dogs

This is YouTuber TushiRIT’s cat Tifa. And this is YouTuber TushiRIT’s dog Tifa. Sure, cats can fetch and wag their tails as well, but that stupid look is trademark dog. Now for barking lessons.

Japan’s TV shows put the Discovery channel to shame. Here they spot a couple of pets who seem to go into beast mode when they are cuddled or played with. Hopefully it’s just a product of training.

It’s a catchy little tune with a good beat, but what really has us digging Dave Meinert’s music video for Johnny Neon’s Hearts is the fact that it was shot entirely with a GoPro doggie-cam.

Kiko is a sweet dog. She even knows a trick she can do on command. Unfortunately, she must have missed the day in training class where they explained the finer points of rolling over.

We’re not sure why this bird is feeding noodles to this dog, but maybe it thinks it’s giving worms to its younglings. Either way, somebody needs to train its owner to turn their cellphone sideways.

The Woodland Zoo’s Lil’ Bear – the grizzly bear – and Tala – the wolf – are lifelong friends. Note the cautious dog. Perhaps it knows that they’ll be vastly different when they grow up.

Corridor Digital cuts back on the special effects in favor of man’s best friend for their latest short film. It will take you through a roller coaster of emotions and expectations.

The dogs in this video aren’t doing anything special. But they make up for it with sheer quantity – there’s 42 of them, spreading drool all over the forest and scaring trees with their saw-like bark.

A couple of Labs work the room while owners check out at the vet. One dog even delivers the receipts. Though we’d be more impressed if she worked at a Taco Bell, doling out burritos.

Kelsey Wynns took a couple of GoPros and strapped one to Bishop the great dane, providing an entertaining point-of-view which kind of makes you wish you could live in their world for a day.

We’ve seen dogs go to great heights while playing fetch, but Willow goes to great depths, digging into a pile of leaves with fervor. She’s clearly having fun, which is more than we can say for these guys.

Riley the brown dog has already been rewarded with treats for performing tricks, but it seems like she’s still hungry for food – or attention. Or maybe she just really wants to be her owner’s friend.

As David Hasselhoff can attest, sometimes it’s just too much effort to get up from the floor to eat. That certainly didn’t stop this Husky from getting her snack on while lying on her side.

He’s not as depressing a sight as this dog, but you still gotta feel for this fella. He’s too polite to discard his leash and walks leisurely, as if he had a human with him. As opposed to this bundle of joy.

We’ve seen babies stop crying and start rocking out to good music. Golden the dog proves that man’s best bud can appreciate a nice tune as well. He looks so mad whenever the music stops.

Devin Graham knows the way to get attention: puppies. He filmed a bunch of ’em doing what they do best: wreaking havoc and being adorable. We don’t recommend trying this yourself though.

We already know that both dogs and cats can do tricks, but let’s find out who will reign victorious in this trick-off. Two pets enter, one pet leaves! Best video comment: “and the cat did it all drunk!”

Man’s best friend takes on man’s worst enemies the only way a canine knows how. No, not with his mighty incisors, silly. With his handgun. Or should it be called it a headgun? (Thanks, Ben!)

Here’s what makes dogs awesome: with their infinite capacity to be surprised, to appreciate and to enjoy, they take great pleasure from the simplest of things. This video helped cure our holiday blues.

Another clever viral video from Pedigree featuring a group of caroling dogs. Assuming it was done without audio trickery, we’re calling it awesome. Otherwise, happy barking holidays anyhow.

Whereas humans enjoy the companionship of tame dogs, baboons at a dump in Ta’if, Saudi Arabia kidnap feral puppies to raise as members of their families. Looks like the apes really are rising.

If only all dogs were as behaved at bath time as Casper right here. He knows that his owner wants to keep him cool, clean and pampered. We cringed when the soapy water got in his eyes though.
