Award-winning director Sam Pilling and a very talented creative team pulled off this bonkers commercial for Winamax. After winning big on the online betting site, a man treats his mother to a first-class flight, only she doesn’t get in a cab and head to the airport, she takes the elevator.

We know they help support content creators, but we’re as guilty as anyone of skipping the ads on YouTube after five seconds. But what exactly happens after that point in the pre-roll? Comedy Central’s truly warped video delves into the mystery of what lies beyond. And no, you can’t click “Skip Ad” no matter how hard you try.

Nexus Studios and director Hideyuki Tanaka created this wild and wonderful promo spot for a Japanese tourism campaign back in 2004. The clip features a flock of ostriches as they take to the ski slopes, fully embracing their gangly and awkward bodies as they head down the snowy mountainside, and into the city.

Italian furniture company PLANK sent director Lucas Zanotto some of their modern furniture and asked him to do “something” with it. So he and his nephew spent two weeks of trial-and-error incorporating the furniture into ping pong ball trick shots. It took over 2000 attempts to capture the 90-second ad spot.

Ready for a trip back to the 1980s? The guys at We Are the Mutants spotted this gem of a commercial that perfectly captures the sci-fi aesthetics of the era. This big budget ad spot that implies General Electric’s cassette tape players will free the oppressed was obviously influenced by Apple’s famous 1984 Super Bowl spot.

To promote their LYRIQ EV during Super Bowl LV, Cadillac remembers Tim Burton’s 1990 film Edward Scissorhands. Timothée Chalamet plays Edward’s son, who also has scissors for hands, and is pleased to find that the new Caddy has a hands-free driving mode. Winona Ryder reprises her role as Edgar’s mom Kim Boggs.

2020 has been a dumpster fire of a year. But if you’re the devil, you have a different perspective on things. Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort created this hilarious ad spot for Match about the relationship between Satan and the Worst Year Ever. With the advent of online shopping and rapid delivery services, Santa Claus has become increasingly disenchanted with his job. This holiday commercial spot for The Norwegian Postal Service combines dark comedy, political commentary, and just a dash of cheer at the very end.

After leaving his family to work thousands of miles away, a man realizes he never dropped his daughter’s letter to Santa in the mail. Naturally, the only thing left to do is to deliver the letter to the North Pole personally. Coke’s holiday commercial is filled with dramatic moments and has the requisite tearjerker ending.

Most of you probably weren’t born when these cartoons and commercials originally aired. Still, whether you’re here for nostalgia or to see what your parents watched when they were kids, this compilation is packed with great retro goodies, from Fat Albert to Jonny Quest to the “hanker for a hunk of cheese” guy.

Or more like DieHard is back, as in the car battery. Advance Auto Parts enlisted the help of Bruce Willis to promote DieHard batteries, returning to his role as John McClane and taking on old and new enemies along the way. Bonus points for the return of Argyle.

Japanese commercials can be so creative, weird, and funny. Start watching this ad spot and see how long it takes you to try and guess what the product is that they’re advertising. If you guess some kind of interactive torture experience, you’d be very wrong.

Back in the 1980s, Rax Roast Beef was a popular fast-food chain. But the company lost its way, trying to reinvent itself in the face of competition and is down to its last few locations. And then there’s this disastrous ad campaign which certainly didn’t help. The Vlogbrothers offer their take on the one and only Mr. Delicious.

In this version, the bunny spends his nights out partying with friends, while the turtle gets a good night’s sleep in his IKEA bedding. Stellar creature FX from Robert Allsopp and VFX by 1920 helped bring the characters to life.

Just because something is a commercial doesn’t mean it can’t be a work of art. This clip from director Henry Scholfield and Mathematic Studio for Indonesia ride hailing and tech company Gojek is proof positive of that. For all 60-seconds the clip is on screen, it will fill your eyes with magical, VFX-powered sensory overload.

This lighthearted commercial from New Zealand features an ordinary man named Carl, who just happens to suffer from a slow, laggy, and stuttering connection to his entire life. Internet company Chorus thinks he simply needs to upgrade to their fiber broadband service to keep up with the rest of the world.

The compact and collapsible Murphy Ladder looks like an impressive product all on its own, but this hilarious commercial spot for the product makes us even more likely to run out and buy one… then use it in the wrestling ring on our opponents.

Chili’s “I Want My Baby Back (Ribs)” is one of the most memorable jingles ever associated with a brand. Jeep managed to assemble Bill Murray, Stephen Tobolowsky, Brian Doyle-Murray, and a look-alike for Punxsutawney Phil in this hilarious Super Bowl spot for the Jeep Gladiator. This time, the human Phil is inspired to change things up right away as he heads off-road with his groundhog pal in his rugged new truck.
